First time here and stayed here. Enjoyed my stay. No complaints whatsoever. Brother and sister managing the property very well. Owner has maintained property very well and owner fortunate to have very courteous brother and sister team keeping the property in excellent shape. Thanks to both for keeping my stay entertaining, pleasurable and safe. I would rate their services as excellent
Love this place. No place can be better than this. Stayed here 2 days and returned back after visiting Casablanca and Tanger. Very convenient location. Staff brother and sister managing property and taking care of their customers very well. Stayed another 2 days after my return from other cities. Everything is to my taste here. I don’t see anything which was bad
Amour d’Auberge is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting the area. The location is truly excellent—convenient and central, making it easy to explore everything nearby. The staff work incredibly hard and are very accommodating, ensuring a smooth and pleasant stay.
The property itself is clean and well-maintained, including the bathrooms, which are spotless. The showers have warm water, though the automatic light turning off mid-shower can be a little frustrating. The beds are comfortable, and the overall atmosphere of the hostel feels very good and welcoming.
Breakfast, while simple, is decent. However, it’s not always served on time, which can be a slight inconvenience if you’re on a tight schedule. That said, the terrace and seating areas are a highlight—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the surroundings.
Overall, Amour d’Auberge offers a great experience with just a few minor quirks. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, and well-located place to stay!
They all did pretty nice to us and very kind, place is so easy to access.
I am strongly recommend this place and I'll stay there in the future for sure.
Clean, friendly, well-located, safe, quiet, good wifi.

Night in marakesh
Really clean, rooms are dorms so we were all in one room (we are 2 sisters with our 5 children) which was great for us
helpful staff who helped advise us with where to go and local restaurants
Great place to stay
Would recommend
Hostel was clean, safe and quiet
However internet wifi was terrible, and after 11pm the hostel is effectively shutdown with no talking allowed and no hot water for the showers
The hostel location is great because it’s directly in the Médina
Was very convenient for the location sadly to say that i booked in to a male only room cost more tham a shared room and the owner place me in a mixroom so for booking more expensive rooms there is no difference as its not as advertised and pay for so best not pay the extra just go for the cheaper option i did complain to the staff 4 times and they told me its the owner.
The shared bathroom was clean. The sensor light goes off during your shower. Had a party of 5 for one room and was told there would be a man with us unless we paid for the extra bed. Staff said to disregard what was on our booking and go by what she said. We paid for the extra bed and got the room next to it. The space was available, they just wanted more money. The blanket smelled used and the space was tiny.
They didn't even have soap to wash hands in the bathroom. I've asked for it and they simply said that they need to ask the manager to put soap in the bathroom as some people taken the ones the had. Staff sitting in the communal area and chitchat, so the noise is being echoed into the room. Not a place to spend a night there.
The place is nice I loved it. The staff is horrible and racist they only prepare breakfast on time for certain people and smile at certain people and only have good special treatment for certain people. I felt so disrespected by the staff that I had to leave and find a different hotel before my period ends. I had 10 days paid for remaining , but I left and found another place anyway, some bedsheets were really dirty and they tried to accuse me of them. Of course they will get dirty and that’s why the staff is there. It’s their job to do the cleaning, but they yelled at me, disrespected me and accused me of dirty and my bedsheet and I believe it was all because they were so lazy and did not wanna have to do more cleaning.
The brother and sister that work as receptionist/manager are both very nice and helpful. She even hosted me with a cup of mint tea. The location is perfect, inside the Medina. Walking distant to everything we visited and right next to good and cheap couscous and tajine restaurants. The bed is confortable and the breakfast is an excellent plus, with this delicious cardamomo coffee.
The only reason I didn’t give my stay was the fact that my room was downstairs, next to the reception and the big table where guests socialize. Quite noisy at night for those who have early tours in the morning. But if you work on getting a room on the second floor, I’m sure you won’t have any problem. And there was never toilet paper, had to think to ask every time. Although there was just one shower for 12 beds, I was lucky and never had to wait to take mine. But overall, an excellent option for those traveling alone like me. All guests super nice and we had company all the time to visit the city and do the organized tours. BTW, if you have time, don’t miss Essaouira. And visit La Mamounia Palace hotel, 10 minutes walking from the hostel. Breathtaking interior and garden. Marrakesh was a great experience and staying at L’Amour d’Auberge too.

"I found some aspects of my stay to be quite disappointing. The prices listed in the welcome email seemed higher than expected. For example, the hostel offers a pick-up service for 20 Euros, while a taxi from the airport only costs around 12.70 Euros.
The tours mentioned in the welcome email are primarily just transfers to nearby cities. I expected more from the tours, as I thought they might include guided city tours or additional activities. However, it's possible to visit the cities on your own using public transportation at a much lower cost.
The location is central, but it’s important to note that it is close to two mosques, so there is regular prayer time with calls to prayer five times a day. This could be something to consider if you're sensitive to noise.
In terms of cleanliness, the owner is very particular about maintaining the property, which some guests might appreciate, but it also extended to my own belongings in the room, which felt intrusive.
While I didn’t mind the presence of people smoking hashish on the property, I did find that the smell sometimes lingered in the building. Additionally, there were occasional loud sounds, such as techno music, which might not be suitable for everyone.
I had originally booked a 6-bed dorm but ended up in an 8-bed dorm. The owner seemed to imply that it was my mistake. On checking out, I had to remind him to return my key deposit, which he seemed hesitant about.
Overall, while the hostel has some advantages like a cen

Unpleasant stay
I had unpleasant stay there although the hostel is clean and it's location is very close to Jamea Elfana, I suffered during my stay from check in which was different than I wanted then I was surprised when I was sleeping in night that the door was opened by Faisal , someone who is working there, to check if all girls are present inside the room or not which was very strange for me.
When I talked to him that he shouldn't have done this, he told me he is doing his job and he had the right to do this!
He is very rude in his replies and asked me if I didn't like this attitude I should have booked a private room!
Actually I stayed in many hostels and didn't find like this attitude and behavior from the employees or management of the hostels where I stayed.
The hostel is considered noisy especially the ground floor where the reception is present so if there are people in the reception you will feel they are sitting with you inside the room because reception is in front of the girls dorm.
The hostel closed the door before midnight and if anyone came late after midnight, he/she should ring the bell many times till someone wake up to open the door and of course all the clients wake up as well.
However, it was uncomfortable stay for me but honestly they have "Hiba" who can absorb the different cultures of clients.
