About this property

Creekside Tiny House with Wood-fired Hot Tub close to Linville Gorge, Falls, etc

  • Lovely Tiny House with creek view and wood-fired hot tub* just minutes from some of the best hiking, views and waterfalls in WNC. The tiny house includes a well-equipped kitchenette with Kuerig coffee-maker, microwave, toaster, convection hot plate and fridge/freezer (There is no oven or dishwasher) and a tiny but full bathroom.

Sleeping quarters include a King Bed in the large loft area and a Twin Berth behind a pocket door on lower level (see pics).

Great outdoor space includes 2 decks on the creek with a WOOD-FIRED HOT TUB*; table w/ market umbrella; gliders; a park style charcoal grill; and fire-pit with cooking grate surrounded by 4 comfy Adirondacks.

**The WOOD-FIRED HOT TUB is AWESOME but be aware that it can take between (4-6)+/- hours to heat (depending on water & air temp) and is well worth it but you do have to be around to 'add wood, stir, repeat' periodically. There is no 'HEAT' button because its all about the process (which you are welcome to begin upon arrival, Friday, for a head start on Saturday's soak)! Instructions, Tips & Tricks document provided.

~ The tub makes a great Cold Plunge in hot weather or If you are not interested in using it, either way, just let us know and we won't bother you to sign the waiver.

THE PROPERTY: The Tiny house is part of Tanglewood Campground. It is nestled in its own little enclave on the creek with plenty of privacy but not total seclusion and wildlife enthusiasts are encouraged to explore, on foot or mountain-bike, anywhere within the properties 170 acres (or the adjoining 250 acres owned by the US Forestry Service off our Western border) where they are likely to catch glimpses of turkey, beaver, deer, fox, eastern box turtle and the many species of songbird and raptor. Less likely but possible sightings in the properties upper elevations include bear, coyote and bobcat.

THE LOCATION is convenient to tons of local attractions for sightseeing, hiking and outdoor activities, as well as shopping, dining, even wine tasting. We would be happy to supply a comprehensive list of the various local attractions upon request but the following are a few of our favorite things to do within a short drive: photograph, tour, hike or listen to live music at LINVILLE FALLS, GORGE, CAVERNS and/or WINERY; drive the Blue Ridge parkway; visit beautiful Toms Creek or Crabtree Falls; cross Grandfather Mountains mile high bridge and explore the nearby towns of Spruce Pines or Little Switzerland. The scenic drives to Asheville, Blowing Rock or Banner Elk make them each wonderful day-trip destinations as well.
