★TIP FROM THE HOST★ You have to try traditional Pohorje Speciality »Pohorje pisker« (meat and vegetable stew). It is prepared using typical local ingredients like root vegetables, porcini mushrooms, barely porridge and Pohorje beef. Because the »pisker« contains many different ingredients, many different types of wine go well with it. The most appropriate are less aromatic sorts that are moderate in flavour – e.g. Welschriesling, Chardonnay or Pinot Gris.
