Marco Getaway awesome place to stay

Great place and great location!

We loved our stay here in Marco! The condo was perfect for our family; great set up and nice location, close to shops and restaurants. We did find the property slightly dirty (mostly the floors) but overall, we were very happy with our stay!

Marco Island stay

Overall it was fine. The unit needs updates , particularly bathrooms for a family that has three people 6 feet tall, the toilets were tiny and showers low couldn’t use one shower as the sliding track but not open smoothly and we were afraid to break it The refrigerator door handle was broken We spend as much time outside as possible but with rainy weather we were inside more than usual unit could use some TLC

The property needs to be updated. The kitchen cupboard are falling part and starting to rot out. The kitchen counter needs to be replaced and needs to be painted. The rest of the place was okay. It is quite a walk to the beach at least a quarter mile, but once there it is good

Good value!

We found this condo clean and affordable, with nice views from every room. Especially good sunset views. Plenty of room for four adults. Good communication with mgmt and easy check in/out. Covered parking (additional $50 fee) was nice with easy entrance to the bldg. Unit is very close to elevators. Nice, clean laundry room is also close to this unit. Some minor construction noise during the day but not too intrusive. There is a significant walk to the beach, so just be aware/prepared for that. Very large beach so it was not crowded, lots of room for playing and games, calm water for swimming and tons of shells.

Marco Island Vacation

This condo is in serious need of a renovation. The kitchen cabinets are falling apart. Furniture is worn and very stained (the dining chairs are so dirty we chose to not sit on them). Couch throw pillows have holes with stuffing coming out. Walls need paint and linens need replaced. The kitchen is well stocked and had what we needed to make simple meals. Before you rent chairs for the beach, check the condo closet as it is "stuffed" with items including beach towels and a cooler. It is a significant hike to the beach, but the views from the balcony are wonderful. Make sure you read all the "rules" for the condo community. Full-time residents are less that kind when pointing out infractions. Overall we had a wonderful vacation, but would not return to this specific property.

Had to switch condo units due to a burst water pipe

The property was as described, the unit was nice, but there was a pipe that burst a few floors above ours, I do understand that things like this happen, but we were not offered another unit and it was a bit frustrating as the drying fans that were deployed were very noisy, and a condensation draining tube was ran from the closet to the kitchen sink rendering it not usable for us. I was informed that the unit above ours were immediately offered another room. We were not in the unit when the drying fans were deployed and were surprised to find out that they were going to be there for a few days. I had spent a several hours on the phone with the VRBO representative and once the Horizons on call representative contacted me back we were able to move to another unit. The unit that we were moved to was nice, but the air conditioning unit needed maintenance and was not cooling the condo. I had called in a maintenance request to the HVAC technician. He was very responsive and came out and remedied the issue. We made the most of the situation, but were a little disappointed and frustrated, we literally lost a day and a half tracking down how to be moved to a new unit. Thanks

Quick Post COVID Get Away

We’ve been coming to Marco on annual work trips for years. But those are always in the winter. With COVID subsiding we decided to make a quick warm weather visit. The unit itself is in a great location, with direct access to the beach and wonderful views from the balcony and all the rooms. It was spacious with more than enough room for my wife and I and our two teenage boys. We had a great time. A few items worth noting. We had a couple of “mechanical” issues with the rental. I found Horizon Rentals to be incredible responsive with someone to our room within minutes both times, including late on a Saturday night. I was VERY impressed and would highly recommend them just based on this first class customer service experience. This is a great unit, with a fully stocked kitchen in a fantastic location and we are already talking about returning next year. The property is well maintained with a nice swimming pool. Lots of kids and very friendly families around. And the beach at Marco, with its white sands and tranquil turquoise waters is stunning and fully relaxing. Can’t recommend this enough.

Well equipped condo with fantastic views

Comfortable condo with great views Lots of beach equipment. Kitchen well equipped. Nice warm pool always able to get a chair. Beach is beautiful. Close to grocery shopping and a short ride to Naples

Paradise found

The unit was everything we needed. Location by elevator and laundry room very convenient. Stocked with everything you will need for a day at the beach or pool. Construction noise was annoying but you didn’t hear it at the beach. Will be back next year!

Dirty needs a great cleaning & vertical shades need fixing, patio door screens don’t close allowing

Kitchen floor Very Dirty toilet still leaking had plumbing people come however still leaks I think it needs a wax ring needs new cushions for couch & love seat overall I give it a not come back even at half the cost I paid
