Note that there is no barrier between the house and the the seawall. If you have little ones that are a falling hazard please be aware of this.

For security reasons we will not disclose the address until a booking is confirmed.
We are responsible for providing a safe, comfortable space, clean linens, and kitchen utensils. Any personal preferences (spices, coffee, breakfast) is the responsibility of the guest.
You will be living on an island and wifi or power outages are not completely unheard of. If you get one of these just hold on for an hour or so, they don't usually last long. If it's longer than that let me know I can call Xfinity and see what's going on. I cannot be held responsible for any outages for WiFi, Cable, water service, or anything else that is completely out of my control.

PLEASE let me know if there's some sort of problem that needs fixing/addressing. Since we live 1,350 miles away now there is no way for me to know if the house needs attention unless I'm told.

We absolutely loved our stay!

This house had everything you need and breathtaking views! The kayaks were amazing to use right from the backyard we even had manatees swim up to us. It is so close to everything you need and right by an amazing beach and multiple children parks and dog parks. Host was very responsive! We loved our stay!

Marathon Magic

Everything about this property was awesome! Beautiful home, updated kitchen, new appliances, super comfortable furniture - plenty of towels. The outdoor view and pool were perfection! Even the pool floaties! The only problem was we only booked for one week - thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely home. Location -also great! Close to restaurants, the beach and groceries!stores.

Family Trip

Great place to stay! Plenty of room, well equipped home. After you get out of the canals on Atlantic you are close to the 7 Mile bridge and can get to Gulf side with ease. Pool was great to get off the boat and cool off.

Marathon Key Reunion

Nice property with plenty of room for our group of seven. Lots of fun time relaxing around the pool. We saw manatee almost every day as well as tarpon and other fun wildlife. Our host was responsive and handled any issues in a timely manner.

Great location

Beautiful area with lots to do. Overall we enjoyed the home and it fit our 4 adults and 4 children (ages 8-12) with plenty of room. Pool was great to keep cool and we did plenty of fishing off the dock. The house has been a little used and abused as some rentals do. The pictures make it appear a little nicer than in person. I’d recommend some better quality bedding/sheets and pool towels.

Great Place for a Big Group

We took a little vacation to the keys with our parents and adult children. We had 10 adults ranging in age from 24 to 80 and fit comfortably. This property is close to shops and very relaxing with the pool and canal. We were able to park our boat right outside of the yard and house was equipped with a cleaning table and freezer for our catch. A drawback was that it took 40 minutes to get through the canal out to sea, but we knew this before we rented and I believe the owner has priced this rental with that in mind. We did not use the BBQs as they had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. Otherwise, our stay was great and very relaxing!

Great home in a great location

We stayed for a week in Marathon at this beautiful 4 bedroom home. Location: The location of the home is really perfect. It sits close enough to the main road that you can walk to the grocery store and far enough away that you dont hear the traffic. Its also on a nice walking path that leads you to Sombrero Beach. We also loved that the drive to Key West was only about an hour or so.Outdoor area: We spent a large majority of our time at the house enjoying the beautiful outdoor space. There is a nice deck off of the main living space. Underneath there is a nice shaded area if you need a break from the sun. There is also a nice heated pool, deck chairs, and a hammock. And you get to enjoy this space while watvhing the boats go by on the canal. Also got to see some manatees lounnging in the water.Indoor space: The indoor area was perfect for us. There is a bedroom and bathroom downstairs and then 3 bedrooms and 2 baths upstairs. The kitchen was nice and had everything we could possibly need. Overall this is a fantastic property and I highly recommend staying here if your travels bring you to Marathon. (I did not mention it above but the hosts were fantastic as well).

Good Location - Plenty of Room for Family Vacation

This was our first time to Marathon and we really enjoyed the location of the property. It was very close to the grocery store, shopping, restaurants, and Sombrero Beach! The home is beautifully decorated and comfortable. There was plenty of room for our 6 person family and our two dogs loved it too! The only reason I am giving a 4-star review is because I agree with a previous review there are some areas of the home that need to be addressed to make this a 5-star property. The day we arrived the grass in the backyard was overgrown. We had to contact the owner to have it mowed. It was not cut until Monday afternoon which hindered us from using the pool/backyard area during the first two days of our vacation. The owner was very responsive which we appreciated. Our issue was why was it not scheduled to be done before our arrival. Also in the backyard, there is plenty of seating but the 3 lounge chairs there are not in good condition. One was ripped and it was a safety issue. There are several issues inside that need to be addressed as well. In the kitchen, there was no sink stopper so it made it difficult to wash dishes. The dishwasher had no cover for the buttons so we were unsure what setting we were using. The lock on the primary bathroom was gone and the light/fan in the same bathroom was missing, which were both very inconvenient. The owner is very responsive so we are sure he will address these minor issues to help this property to be perfect!

Had a wonderful time. Great location, private pool and everything you could think of. This trip it was just the two of us. This would be a great place for a family. 100% would come back and would recommend spending your vacation here.

Property had plenty of room for our group. It does need some sprucing up especially outside space which has accumulated a lot of items that have been left by previous vacationers. The grill and flattop need attention. Enjoyed our stay but property needs some work.

Fantastic location and well equipped for a family get away. It is close to Sombrero Beach and when you are not out exploring the Keys you can relax in the pool.

Wonderful place to stay and relax. Comfortable and a nice view of the canal. We enjoyed cooking outside by the pool and the beach is 5 minutes away. We will stay there again!

This was our first trip to The Keys, and we had a fabulous trip. We had a total of eight adults and a six month old, and had plenty of space. The rooms and closets were spacious. The room with the bunkbeds is smaller than the others. but it worked just fine for us. The house had new appliances and a fully stocked kitchen. The neighborhood was quiet, but extremely close to stores if you need to grab some things. There is a Publix right around the corner. I would most definitely stay at Escape to Marathon again.
