"A wonderful stay of 8 nights. Lovely, genuinely nice owners, lovely room (although we were so often out we were rarely in it) A lovely town. A little hard to find by car initially - the turning for the square/piazza of San Rocco is on the left going up and is opposite the bar at the top of the town by the fork- (head down the left side after reaching Piazza San Rocco and turn immediate left after the incredibly tight turn). "We booked two nights on hotels.com a day before we arrived and received all the notification etc. However, when we arrived, the managers had no idea that we were coming. They also didn't speak any english (fair enough) so it was difficult explaining to them that we had made a booking. Even worse - they eventually told us it would cost us 90 Euros a night yet we had already paid 130 Euros online for each night....which included breakfast. However, there was no breakfast as the restaurant wasn't...

"Wonderful place in a great location. The view across the infinity pool down to the sea is breathtaking. The house is big and well equipped. Lovely touches and well looked after. The Maratea coast is one of the most beautiful ones in Italy. We would definitely visit again."

"Beautiful peaceful location set in the mountains and overlooking the ocean with breathtaking views. The house was spacious, comfortable and very well equipped with everything we needed. The owner was friendly and helpful too. My only criticism is it could have done with a good clean and good airing and updated bed linen and to have had a maid to at least change to towels. We also couldn’t find the outside bins and recycling so clear instructions would help but apart from that it was perfect."
