The location of the motel is wonderful, directly across from the beach and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The property is showing its age but is generally well maintained. Unfortunately, we had a problem with the plumbing in our room that was not resolved during our stay and made our stay less than perfect.

The room was clean. The view was good. The only problem was that the heater was located under the curtain in such a way that warm air from the heater gets trapped between the curtain and the cold window, leaving the room itself somewhat cold

It's a basic motel, with nothing fancy. The bed was comfortable. With the ocean and a frontage road so close, I expected an issue with noise but it was very quiet. Close to the beach and restaurants. I was very satisfied.

The view is amazing! Older building but there are efforts made to maintain it. The shower is tiny. It is not a fancy place. But if you want a beach location and view, it’s right there!

The location is the draw here. It’s steps from the beach. Unfortunately, the property is run down and shabby. We tried 3 different rooms for the 3 days we were there. We started with a basic room for $129. It was on a corner with a partial ocean view, or would have had one if the window was clean enough to see out of. The room was dark and depressing, and very run down. The second room was $179, and had a much better location, with a sliding door directly across from the beach, and a kitchenette. The room was also dated and run down, but the main complaint was the dirt and grime accumulated in the harder to reach corners of the room (in the gap between the dresser and the wall for instance). It was obvious that there wasn’t an effort made to clean anything other than the main surfaces. The third room was $200, and on the corner of the Main Street in town. The room had a full kitchen, and an unbeatable view of the ocean from 2 sides. Unfortunately, the fireplace did not work. We called it in, and someone came to check on it, said they would need to call someone else, and left. The issue wasn’t fixed while we were there. The sliding door to the patio on the beach side was hard to open and close, and came off the track. Luckily my husband was able to fix it. There was a big dead grasshopper in the main windowsill. I get that this is an older property, and it’s more affordable than most options. It has a great location and that is the main attraction.

Location, location, location

PRO: You really can’t beat the location of this place. Right across from the beach, Manzanita is a small village so everything is walkable and did I mention it is right across from the beach? Price was much more reasonable than anything else in the area and it was priced approximately for condition. Bed was comfortable, staff was friendly. Not gonna win any awards for luxury but if you are looking for a place to crash that is comfortable and centrally located, this is the place. Would stay again. CON: Motel allows pets (which could be considered a pro) but my place smelled like urine when I first arrived (especially in the bathroom). Aired it out a bit and went away (or I got used to it). Not a big deal to me just an FYI for other travelers.

Depending on what building you get the condition varies. The fridge froze all my fresh produce and at times we couldn't get the shower hot. Even when it was hot it came out as a trickle. The view is incredible and i bet its amazing when the pool was open but its only open june 15 to sept 15. Carpet is gross in the middle building. Bed was decent.

Great vacation in Manzanita, OR!!

We stayed here right across from the beach and could not have had a better view. The employees were extremely nice. Going during the time of COVID is a little different, manageable but different. We did not have housekeeping come into our unit the entire time we were there, Tuesday - Friday. For clean towels, we put our dirty towels outside the door in a basket and they returned clean laundry to us in a plastic bag in the same basket left outside our door. Such is life these days. My only complaint at all is that our bed was uncomfortable for us. We thought it was much too soft for our taste and kind of lumpy. Otherwise, Brilliant vacation!

The suites that overlook the ocean with balcony seating is wonderful. Having a kitchenette and fireplace is a bonus. The only downside is the showerhead. It has a very weak outflow.

The location and view from the motel itself was outstanding. I loved sitting outside with the sun beaming down, enjoying a cup of coffee and a book. However, as a light sleeper, the walls are paper thin, and thus it was not a restful stay. Also, the motel itself is tired and dingy. It needs a some updating and a very deep cleaen. The front desk staff was pleasant and check in was easy.

Fantastic ocean view!

Very helpful, friendly woman at front desk, gave us coffee, etc, With covid things are restricted. Room was a little older but very comfortable and clean. Picnic table out front with a view of the ocean right across the street! The sunsets were awesome and the sound of the ocean at night was so peaceful. Blackout curtains worked great! Reasonable rates. I hope to go back!
