"Maison de caractère et de charme, isolée en en campagne andalouse. Séjour agréable, mais : Confort simple, à l’ancienne. Pas de table pour plus de 10 personnes, pas de transats, pas de machine à laver, pas de poubelles, cafetière archaïque, évier à contre sens."

"You have to go to the city to pick up the keys, and to pay the 70 Euros for cleaning... it's 30 to 40 Euros one way by Uber.I had to pay for cleaning but the property wasn't very clean.The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was pretty good, but only two of the burners worked with the cook ware because the other two were for induction pots. There was a lot of paint drips and grout smudges. The house was a very beautiful and a comfortable stay otherwise."

De casualidad encontramos allí a una persona que acababa de llegar y nos dijo q no esperaba a nadie y q era la dueña y fue sorpresa. Una vergüenza. Nos cobraron por 4 plazas pero sólo una cama de matrimonio. En el sofá otras dos personas q sólo se abría como libro una parte, la otra persona en una longitud de 1m. Sucio, viejo y con agujeros y una gran quemadura. El colchón de la cama no podía...

"We stayed 16 friends at El Cotillo for a week this July, we were welcomed by Carlos who has been wonderful in helping us with everything we needed and being like a friend to us during our stay. The property was beautiful, even better than the photos and very clean. The perfect place for our summer reunion holiday, we enjoyed the outdoor areas and the pool very much. The kitchen was very well equipped and the local supermarket too. We would love to return thank you very much!"

"Calm, lovely staff always eager to help and so caring. Food - eat the fruit cheesecakes - yummy !! Atmosphere is peaceful and serene. Able to totally switch off and relax as other guests do also. Many happy faces in this hotel. "

"Hotel was very good but I have to say, my family got embarrassed during breakfast. I prepaid breakfast but the personnel who should have been at the front to greet people coming in were not there at that time. She eventually caught up and asked for my room number to which I replied back. After 1 minute or so, in the middle of the breakfast area, she says to me in a commanding and very audible voice 'No No No. . . You have not paid for breakfast'. And she does this that everyone in that room could hear. My family was embarrassed. She should me the list and there are the names of four of our family members. I expected more from this hotel as it gives an impression of professionalism at best. But I felt treated like a 'gate crasher'. Not professional enough for an international clientele. Needed more training. It is difficult for me to recommend this hotel to my friends because of such experience."

"We arrived to find the front door locked and no one there. A key pad was beside the door. I had been sent a check in confirmation but it was in Spanish. This seemed to say that entry was to use the key pad numbers preceded by the room number....but we had no room number as we hadn't checked in! After many attempts we got the door to open. Next was to find a room. The reception was unattended and we had to search the hotel's paperwork to find that we expected and had been allocated rooms. We located keys and found our rooms - which were very nice and as expected. We saw no one until breakfast and when we checked out there was again no one there. In the end our stay was ok, but it was disconcerting to say the least."
