"Yuber at the bar was terrific! Everybody there gave us good service but he was truly great! The property overall is gorgeous. The pool is beautiful! Our only issue was the smell close to the gym area. We believe it was ammonia since in the heat and humidity it smelled like cat pee. Otherwise the property is wonderful."

"We stayed in a double bed room with a view to the beach. We loved our stay there. The staff was amazing. The food was so delicious. The breakfast buffet included with the stay had so much variety and if you didn’t find something all you needed to do is ask and if they could they would accommodate your request. We really enjoyed our stay at Balandra and we will continue to stay in Balandra when we visit Manta. "

"The rooms are clean and comfortable; Wi-Fi worked well and there was hot water in the shower. I had prepaid with Expedia, but I was asked to pay again in cash at check-in. With my limited Spanish I was able to show my receipt and that was sufficient. The key fob is huge; the idea being that you will hand in your key if you leave the property rather than take it with you. That way they can control access to who is coming and going. It was a nice one night stay. "
