"We had a great stay at La Carmela. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. Very close to the beach. Our room is spacious for a family. Kids enjoyed the pool so much. The breakfasts were the best part. So many choices and different food everyday."

"Positives: the location is wonderful. The beach service of towels, mats, and chairs is superb and quite personal to have the staff make a spot for you, bring you water, & will bring you towels as you get out of the water. This is the same for the pool areas. I loved the complimentary ice cream and popcorn each day. They do a nightly turndown service and add a treat each night. Those treats are delightful and delicious! The staff are very helpful and attentive. The security is amazing and always has someone on staff. I loved that there was a dedicated place for wet items in the room. There’s also a laundry mat right around the corner that is super affordable and quick. I enjoyed the souvenirs of the photo they display upon your arrival into the room and the photo they give you to take home upon checkout. The boat transfer from the airport is included and it’s seamless! Cons: the breakfast could be way better. The bathroom grout could be cleaned better and needs some love. Sometimes the sewer smell happens in the bathroom and the water pressure could be improved. The room floors could be cleaned a little bit better but they give you a tote and flip flops which is nice. I think for the price there should be robes. My ac did leak but it was promptly fixed! Overall a pleasant stay, a few improvements could be made to remain competitive for the price."
