The check-in experience was the worst. I'm not typically someone that writes mostly negative reviews, but the experience at TRYP by Wyndham Mall of Asia warrants an honest review. In a nutshell, front desk set up high expectations and underdelivered. There was a noticeable lack of coordination/communication between the staff and front desk’s efficiency left much to be desired. My group was left waiting unnecessarily long in the lobby during check in and in the room because the luggage was not brought up timely. Initially, front desk said our room would be upgraded for free, only to take it back after a long wait due to problems with the upgraded room. I was slightly disappointed but understood. The worst was waiting for the luggage to be brought up to a 4th floor room. What should’ve been a quick and simple task took 45 minutes to do, putting us behind our plans for the day. The terrible lobby music made the waiting worse. I guess the only positive thing I can write is that it’s conveniently close to Mall of Asia. I was overall left with a bad impression at TRYP by Wyndham on my last night in the Philippines. I’ve stayed in various accommodations throughout my trip; some were in more rural/rustic places, but their services were distinctly better, more personal and more helpful than at TRYP.
