Villa Ilusión is the vacation rental on Mar Chiquita Beach. This 180 degree ocean view property is at walking distance from the beach and with a peaceful surroundings. You can enjoy horseback riding, scuba diving, snorkeling, cavern expeditions and surfing, within the surrounding area. Inside and outside the house you will have the benefit of privacy and relaxation; you can enjoy the terraces and outdoors, takes a nap in the hammock, enjoy the ocean while at the swimming pool, the view of cruises on the vast Atlantic Ocean, and have quality time with your family and friends. The downtown area with supermarkets, banks, fast foods, shopping areas, the shopping outlet and exclusive restaurants are near here. Don’t delay anymore, and come to Villa Illusion to have a great vacation.

The house has 3-bedroom and 2-bathrooms, one with bathtub at the upper level and another with shower at the lower terrace level, The villa features a dramatic open plan living, dining and kitchen area with huge windows facing the ocean, the front upper level terrace and the swimming pool. A perfect place to watch evening sunsets. The unit is furnished in a tropical beach house style with furniture and ceiling fans. The unit is fully equipped with linens, towels, iron, portable iron table, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans. There is a washer and dryer, and the kitchen has all appliances including microwave and ice maker. The living room and one of the bedrooms has Wifi and Cable TV. A 55” High Definition flat screen TV with HD Cable Channels at the living room, and one 32” High Definition flat screen TV with basic cable channels in one bedroom. There is a modest CD library with action, drama and kids movies, travel documentaries of various countries, and musical shows.

At the lower indoor terrace there is a BBQ, Pool table, dominoes table and other table games, such as chess, chinese cheker, etc.. Also there is an outdoor shower at the lower level terrace to clean up the sand before getting to the pool

The property have water cisterns and solar power with two Tesla Batteries, in the event of a power or water faliure.

Wonderful house!

Group of 6 adult friends had a wonderful stay at this property. We spent a ton of time in the yard/pool - the view was fantastic! The hosts are remarkably fast to respond/communicate - we would stay here again. Neighborhood was quiet/safe and short walk to Mar Chiquita.

Great getaway

We loved our stay at this property. The pool and view were perfect plus we had all the amenities we could ask for. There was a grocery close by and we ate in good restaurants in Manati and Vega Baha. The property owners were very communicative. We would stay here again!

Better than the pictures.

We had an incredible stay at the villa illusion. The host and manager of the property was prompt with responses and fixed the very minor issues we had in a very timely manner. The house is set on a hillside with an incredible view of the ocean. A five minute walk to Mar Chiquita. The house was stocked with everything we needed apart from groceries which is obvious. The house was very clean and easy to find and check into. We would and plan to stay here again.

Second time staying here.

The location and property is a perfect place for families looking to enjoy a local Puerto Rico experience in a safe and quiet neighborhood. You are within walking distance to Mar Chiquita, and a very short drive to Mar Bella. The hosts are very responsive, and whether you want to relax by the pool over looking the ocean, or head out and explore local spots, there is plenty to keep you busy. We love this location, and will definitely be back.

Beautiful home overlooking the ocean.

We all had a very good time at the pool and playing games that they had for us there pool tables, cornhole, dominoes that we played almost every other night and swim in the pool quite a bit when it was hot during the day it had a beautiful beach to walk on down below. The owners were absolutely wonderful. We got to meet at the end of our day. Hope to see them again.

Beautiful Views

This is a beautiful beach house. We would rate it all 5 stars but there are a couple little things that might be an issue for some people and we made the best of. Little things are in need of upkeep. Sheets could be replaced. Paint is peeling in several places. Patio chairs were rusty. The house next door does have barking dogs. Mainly barking late at night or 4am. The alarm system has a VERY loud door chime that is too loud when others are sleeping. Plus side was lots of quality towels, good sized pool and air in the bedrooms.

Overall Great

We stayed here as a baseball team for a tournament. The view and location were simply amazing. The owners were always available for any questions we had. We have zero complaints. That being said, there are some things that I would like to inform people. There are two dogs next door that continually bark. This is out of the owners control and it did not bother us, but I can't speak for everyone else. There was also issues with hot water due to the water pressure. We ended up getting warmer water by the end of our stay, but the first couple days took some getting used to. The owner came by to try to fix the issue and I believe he finally did. Our group consisted on 6 men 30+ years old that didn't mind these issues that were out of his control. It was overall a fantastic stay and we would gladly stay here again.

Beautiful Ocean Vista

This is a beautiful property and a great space for entertainment. Once we got into the house, we went to the grocery store which was at the end of the road about three minutes away. It has most everything you need to get started but if you need more bulk items, there is a Walmart 15 minutes from the house. Kitchen was well equipped with all the standard appliances and utensils. While at the house, the kids stayed in the pool and when they weren’t in the pool, there were using the pool table. Those two things kept them busy for hours. The outdoor “kitchen” area is great for adults as well. It has an oversized grill, wet bar, drink fridge and wine fridge with plenty of seating to entertain while looking at the pool and ocean.There is a great beach 5 minutes from the house with a lava reef protecting it from the ocean. Wear water socks or have sandals/shoes as you will want to climb up the lava reef/wall for some great views.There is a great restaurant 5 minutes from the house the owners recommended. We tried it on our last night and it was well worth it. It has fantastic food!A few of the cons of the property:No hot water upstairs in the kitchen or bathroom. The down stairs shower has hot water but only of you keep the water pressure low. It took us two days to figure that out. The shower handle came off at one point, but the owner had it fixed that afternoon. Most of the adults founds the beds to be very uncomfortable.Biggest drawback was lack of hot water.

Puerto Rico Trip

Views are amazing from the backyard and balcony. Outdoor entertainment space and pool were accommodating. The owner was pleasant to speak with and responded to concerns about a non-working water heater and septic cleanout overflowing during the first day of the stay. Neighbor to left has three dogs, and one barked continuously and the neighbor did nothing about it. The property is overpriced in my opinion. The inside of the house could use a deep clean, updating and organizing. Also, there was an issue with water pressure that fluctuated from day to day. Kitchen stove only has three working burners due to a missing knob. Gas grill is missing the ignitor button and showing age. Washing machine does not fill or drain properly and this is possibly due to the water pressure. Overall, the experience was mediocre and did not meet my expectations.

Awesome views and a great place to relax.

Fernando's Villa Illusion is a rare gem perched some 60 feet above the thundering waves on the North coastline on a limestone cliff. To get to an actual beach requires a 5 minute walk down to Mar Chiquita. Right or left of that beach are over 2 miles of other coves, limestone cliffs and coastal rainforests in each direction where we hardly saw another person. Be wary of extremely strong currents and waves crashing directly onto coral... Beautiful area but it's wild so be cautious. The house itself is perfect for a large family with an awesome deck overlooking the ocean and crystal clear warm pool below. For a house subject to 24x7 sea salt spray it is in fantastic condition and well appointed inside with a full kitchen and plenty of room. All the ductless bedroom air conditioners work splendidly. As far as some of the former complaints of dogs, there are two remaining older dogs as of 4/2024 and they do occasionally bark but we didn't have any problem with them. The yard is beautifully landscaped and Fernando deserves a lot of credit for keeping this place in great shape. The "neighborhood" is upscale and rural. There is a locking gate and full perimeter fence although we never felt the slightest bit uneasy around any of the friendly locals. Some of the more remote parking areas need common sense precautions like taking everything with you. Remember good water shoes if you go as all the coral is very sharp and there are many urchins you don't want bare feet around!

Our stay at this beautiful beach house in Manatí, PR was absolutely wonderful! The home itself was stunning, spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated with breathtaking ocean views that made every morning feel like a dream. The neighborhood was peaceful and safe, perfect for a relaxing getaway.The host was incredibly kind and professional, always quick to respond and very accommodating. We did experience a brief water outage for a couple of days, but that was an island-wide issue and completely out of the host’s control. Everything else about our stay was perfect, and we truly appreciated how attentive and helpful the host was throughout our trip.Highly recommend this property, can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful place

My family and friend spent a week in this beautiful place, it has a spectacular view, suitable for relaxing, if that is what you are looking for. I loved it and of course I would stay again.

Loved staying here!

This place was great for our group- we were walking distance to the beach, close to a grocery store and amazing restaurant. We made many meals here as well. It had everything we needed. The views just sitting in the hammock on the back porch was so relaxing and tranquil. We loved it and we’d stay here again in the future.

Fantastic view!!!

Fernando is so nice and easy to communicate with. We had a fantastic stay in this house. I chose it because of the view and the 270 degree ocean view was better than I had ever imagined! Everything about this place was great.

Great getaway!

We were two families and had an amazing vacation in Puerto Rico. The house was well stocked, beautiful location, and very comfortable to stay at. Fernando and Margarita are wonderful, they met us there the first day and gave us lots of great tips and information. The house is in a great central location if you plan on doing activities on both sides of the island. We would definitely stay here again!

Second visit .... does not disappoint

This is a great house...close to beaches and the pool makes it so that if you stay home your still feeling spoiled. Manati is a great spot to explore the island and feel some of the local culture. Our hosts are gracious and lovely. Perfect.
