Absolutely stunning scenery, friendly staff but the room smelled badly of fish and body odor. My bed had a broken spring that jabbed into my leg. Was very rustic in definite need of upgrade….. wouldn’t recommend unfortunately. It says something when before bringing in my luggage I checked for bed ...

Lake Manapouri is stunningly beautiful, and Fiordland is my favourite place in the world. Manapouri village is a lovely picturesque gateway to all that magic. However, there is very little in the village itself.
