We few times for room service dining. Everytime the food came with additional food which we wasn't been informed. We feedback a few times still repeat the same issue. The pool was dirty.

Luxury Relaxing Stay
Me and my partner stayed in this resort for 3 nights in September. We absolutely loved it! The lagoon pool being the highlight. The room was very spacious and clean. The staff was very helpful and always smiling making the experience even better! The food was great: breakfast was a buffet with a lot of choice, dinner menu had delicious dishes, both traditional and international dishes. Also we found the free shuttle bus very helpful to get into Ubud and explore the area. Would definitely recommend this resort, and would definitely stay here again! Tommy & Lizzy

Lovely staff, rooms need a bit of work.
When we arrived at FuramaXclusive we were pretty excited, the lobby was lovely and the staff were super friendly. Our room wasn’t going to be ready until 2pm so we went and ate lunch at the restaurant, the food was okay and we were pleased. We were kind of stuck there for the afternoon as we didn’t realise how far away from Ubud we were (basically another village and a 15min drive) when we got into our room, initially we were blown away, a tidy room with a private pool and swim up bar!!! Unfortunately, from here on out we were a little disappointed. The private “pool” was about as deep as our knees and the swim up bar had nothing in it (literally no glasses, drinks, ice - nothing) so when we ordered a drink (reasonably expensive drink) there they had to call the lobby (which sometimes took 10mins to get through) and order them that way. Anyway by the time we got our drinks they were warm and we didn’t bother ordering more as it was a hassel. So more like room service I guess. The air conditioner in the room was playing up and only worked half the time and the shower head was broken so I had to shower in the bath. There was mould in the bathroom and we weren’t that thrilled. When we gave them this feedback, someone approached us at breakfast infront of other guests wanting a list of our issues. I think this should have been handled privately as it was pretty embarrassing and awkward for us. All in all this is a good place, just not quite what we expected for the price.

Lovely hotel in the middle of nowhere
Our stay at Furama was a lovely experience. We stayed in a one bedroom villa with private pool in the FX area. Our private pool was very shallow (more like a soaker pool) and did not offer a large private outdoor lounge area. However, the deck in the public area provided adequate room for tanning of ready by the lagoon pool. Daily shuttle was offered to Ubud Town Centre but was limited with timings. Located about 20 mins from the town, there were no nearby shops or restaurants to visit by foot. Hotel would benefit from a scooter rental service as taxi may become costly if used daily. The restaurant on site had friendly staff and food was tasty (average cost for a meal around 160000 to 240000 IDR) but dimly lit in evening. Hotel offered various activities to participate in at an extra cost and staff were very informed of options for guests. Overall, a lovely experience at a lovely resort.

Furama is like a mini village. We were escorted to room on a little buggie. The room was clean and tidy upon arrival. On our first night, the telephone stopped working, the wifi stopped working and he air condition stopped working. We had no way of contacting reception and thus had to walk to the lobby in the middle of the night (about a 10 minute walk through dark bushes). The next night, the wifi servers were down again. Perhaps this was a one off. We only stayed here for two nights. It was frustrating.

Very relaxing!
I loved this hotel. The villa exceeded my expectations and the hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful or lovely. The location of the hotel, about a 20 minute drive away from Ubud, might not suit everyone but I was looking for a totally chilled out break so for me it was perfect. The hotel runs a free shuttle bus into Ubud several times a day so you can easily get into town when you want to.

Very lavish hotel, but not in a city
had a great stay here with my wife--rooms were luxuruious with a personal plunge pool in every room (note these are only a few feet deep and not big enough to fully sit in or swim). service was good, but resort is quite large so you may need to take a golf cart to the hotel lobby from your room each time. Restaurant's food was quite with very attendant service. Do note, this hotel is quite far from Ubud and is actually in Mambal, which means you'll need to set up a driver for daily excursions if you want to do a lot of sightseeing.

We stayed at Furama Xclusiv late October 2012. The grounds were lovely and quiet and just what we were looking for a 2 person getaway. The restaurant menu is somewhat limited however the free shuttle service into Ubud provides a multitude of dining options and is only 20-25mins away from your own little piece of paradise. Most importantly, the staff were fantastic and always engaging whether it be the groundspeople, restaurant, admin or housekeeping staff. All were so friendly and willing to chat.

Hidden oasis
Stayed for 7 nights and really enjoyed the whole experience. We were looking for a get away from it all holiday and this certainly ticked all the boxes. Location is a little remote set in the middle of the rice padi fields and is 20 minute drive to Ubud . The resort has shuttle transport to and from Ubud throughout the day. Accomodation was as advertised. Food was good and the service from staff was nice and friendly. Go back again? You bet we would..

This place really shouldn't advertise as being in Ubud. It's in Mambal and c25minutes out. It's also a resort, not a collection of villas. It's huge. The staff were individually nice but the place was too big and impersonal and there was not much cohesion amongst the staff because there was just too many of them. If you like resorts you might really love this place, but i thought i was staying in a mid-sized villa complex in Ubud, so i didn't get what i was looking for. Also, the Spa charges western prices, and i'm sure the extra money doesn't go the staff. I don't like that at all, and refused to go there.

Peace amongst the rice fields
My friend and I stayed at Furama Xclusive Villas for 6 nights for a girls week away. We absolutely loved it! The room and the pool was amazing. Very quiet, private and peaceful. Furama is based about 20 mins drive out of Ubud which suited us well as there was a free shuttle every few hours. We would spend the day by the pool and then catch the shuttle into Ubud for massage and dinner. There were no restaurants or places to eat around Furama so you have the choice of room service or the restaurant. We tried both and were very impressed. However, prices are higher for food than what you would pay for on the streets of Ubud. Breakfast was included and was very impressive! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Furama offered us exactly what we wanted. Peace in the day by the pool and a trip into Ubud for dinner and drinks at night. Ubud town is nice but it is very busy with traffic so we are glad that we stayed out of town. This would have been perfect for a romantic getaway too!

This hotel is tucked a bit out of the way in rural Bali, about 20 minutes drive from Ubud. That makes it a quiet and relaxing location, but you do need to travel by car or bike to get anywhere, it is not close to anything. The staff are very nice and friendly, and helpful. The food on premises is good but not great. The drinks, and especially the wine, are VERY expensive, but I found this to be the case all over Bali. The room was very comfortable, but it had some minor technical problems such as poor shower drain (slow). The large swimming pool which extends into individual room embayments, is nice but rather cold, and too shallow for much serious swimming. The tour prices are not too bad but can be found cheaper in Ubud. The spa is outrageously expensive for Bali; you are much better advised to book at one of many nice Ubud spas.

Lovely pool villa concept but rough on edges
The service is very good, the staff tried very hard. The villas finishes are not fine, many touches look old and worn down. I like the concept of the villas connected to a huge pool and it's romantic for couples. The room is huge and well planned. The location is 6 km from ubud centre so you must not miss the free shuttles or else you have to pay more than USD 10 per taxi ride. The paddy field near hotel is nice but the resort ground gets really dim at night. Book early at non refundable rates to make it worthwhile, otherwise look for another resort. But bravo to the service staff, they make stay memorable.

A little piece of heaven...
The location is a bit out of Ubud, and down a small narrow bumpy road that may intimidate unseasoned international travellers, but well worth the journey to such a lovely remote location surrounded by rice paddies. Place was very quiet although they were full. Love the private pool area and also that could swim directly into large pool, especially at night when so quiet and peaceful. Very romantic ;) Rooms were really large and comfortable. There is some aging of several years on the room, but still quite nice and no complaints. Although the exclusive villas are about 5 minute walk from the restaurant and main area, with a call they quickly pick-up in golf buggy. Staff very welcoming and friendly, but like most of Bali, some staff had limited English speaking ability. Restaurant breakfast buffet was pretty typical of Bali - usual eggs bar, nice pastries / bread, fruit, etc. Restaurant meal prices typical of Bali - much higher than in town. There were some families staying there, although at the villa section. But area is very quiet and peaceful and little to no activities for children. To find on Google Maps type in Mambal, Bali.. then off to right in rice fields will see two villa complexes - both are the Furama, with north one being Exclusive Villas. We spent 5 days in Nusa Dua and then 4 days in Ubud - next trip entire time will be in Ubud and Furama.

Lovely place to stay. We stayed in the Furama Xclusive spa villa which was extremely spacious and nice to have your own pool. Bed was comfy, shower was great. Outdoor spa could have done with a bit of a clean but asides from that the place was kept pretty clean and tidy. The food in the restaurant is good quality and reasonably priced, and the hotel provided complimentary transfers to and from the hotel. Don't rely too heavily on the complimentary shuttle service from Ubud - our return transfer was nearly an hour late, but it is easy enough to catch a cab and it won't cost much. The staff were polite and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and ensure all our needs were met. If you need anything just call 0 e.g. to get more complimentary water delivered to your room and more clean towels otherwise you will have to wait a while. Overall a lovely lovely hotel very peaceful, relaxing and pleasant, and close enough to Ubud to still have lots of things to do. Don't come here if you don't like peace and quiet/looking for a raging party - but if you're looking to unwind it is perfect.

Staff are very nice and the place is tried to keep clean and it's almost achieved perfectly. Location is a bit far from town but the shuttle can take you by a 20 mins ride. The surrounding however is a bit rural. Some improvement should be done to improve room equipment. Eg the television of my living room is out of order and the bathtub gave muddy water in one of the morning. That's a bit disgusting and never expected in such standard hotel. Overall I would still come back for the staff and relaxing setting

FuramaXclusive villa at ubud - quiet retreat
If you are looking for a quiet retreat surrounded by nature, arts and culture, this is it! The location setting is completely different from the busy touristy beach areas in bali. But precisely because of that, this is where you can learn the most about Bali and Balinese cultures. However one should be prepared that the villa location is very deserted and out of the way from town (20min with the villa shuttle) and tourist spots (maybe an hr plus or more). People in the villa were friendly to the max. There's nothing in particular to complain about the customer service. Though the rooms looked exactly like the website pictures, there is much room for improvement on the housekeeping (cleanliness of waters around the villa, problem of mozzies, etc) and the maintenance of the villa (signs of wear out). Food wise, it was a little salty in my opinion but overall food was still not too bad in terms of value in money.
