"Our experience at this hotel was really outstanding from the start. Not only did they let us check in early but they upgraded us to a suite that was double the size of our booked room. The staff we came across were always friendly and approachable, even when they seemed to be rushed off their feet. For such a huge operation the buffet food was lovely and the choices excellent. We also found the all inclusive drinks choices really good compared to many other hotels we've stayed at. The slides and pools provided loads of entertainment for the whole family. All in all this is a really outstanding resort, if only we could have stayed longer!"

"It was an amazing experience at the resort. The food was excellent, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We especially enjoyed the beautiful pool area and beach. A few small improvements would make the experience even more consistent with a five-star hotel: adding extra towel or robe hooks in the shower area, installing a hygienic shower in the bathroom, and providing a capsule coffee machine in the room. The location is also very convenient—just a short taxi or bus ride from Platania, with many restaurants and shops. Overall, we had a wonderful stay!"

Maleme Mare Beach Resort Hotel

"The hotel itself is immaculately maintained, with beautiful, well-kept grounds that create a lovely first impression. Housekeeping was excellent throughout our stay, and our room was cleaned to a high standard every day. The majority of guests appeared to be over 60, along with a few couples travelling with very young children, mainly from Eastern Europe. There were very few UK visitors during our stay. I travelled with my two teenagers (17 and 18) during the May half-term holiday, and they were a little disappointed that there was no one in their age group to socialise with. If you’re interested in boating or water sports, you’ll likely find plenty to enjoy. However, as my teens are non-swimmers and not particularly interested in water-based activities, we found there was less to do on-site. That said, the hotel provided information on local excursions and activities, which proved invaluable. We particularly enjoyed Pista Go Karting, which had excellent facilities and high-quality karts. We also took a Segway tour of Chania, which was both fun and informative from a historical perspective. One of my teenagers even went paragliding and was told it was the first time a hotel guest had ever requested it! Given the hotel’s typical clientele, that wasn’t entirely surprising. Most of the staff were warm, welcoming, and helpful. Special mention must go to Stavros and Elena, who were an absolute mine of information and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed"

"The villa was everything we hoped it would be and became a home from home. We enjoyed all aspects especially the pool, the bbq, and the balcony area. Treasured memories of our time there. Having a car was a must for us with elderly family members and allowed us to explore local and other locations. We would have preferred a closer taverna or two but didn't spoil our experience. Thank you to Georgia for her hospitality "

"We were 3 families staying at Caretta Beach Hotel and absolutely loved it. The hotel is just steps away from the beach, extremely well maintained and unbelievably clean. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed somewhere this spotless! Housekeeping did an excellent job. The location was also perfect, a great home base for day trips to Elafonisi Beach and Balos. The staff’s kindness really stood out throughout our visit. Adonis at the restaurant was so friendly and made us feel welcome every day. He was an absolute pleasure to talk to! Lea and Katerina at the restaurant always greeted us with a smile and Maria at the bar was so kind. The hotel manager, Yianni, was very helpful and gave us fantastic local tips that made exploring the area so much easier. Everything about our stay was perfect. We felt right at home. You have to go here! Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be coming back! Thank you for everything Caretta Beach staff! Maria & family from Montreal"
