STREET ART FANTASY II – Apartment in the Historic Center, Next to Picasso’s Birthplace and the Cervantes Theatre
This apartment is located in the famous Las Lagunillas neighborhood, Málaga’s Arts District and the very place where Pablo Ruiz Picasso was born. As you walk through its streets, you’ll be amazed by the incredible murals and graffiti created by local artists—full of social messages, parodies, and affectionate tributes to Málaga’s most iconic figures. It’s not New York… it’s Málaga. ;)
The accommodation is simple but functional, perfect for short stays. It offers everything you need for a comfortable visit: air conditioning, an equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi, and basic decor with original artistic touches.
IMPORTANT: Do not expect luxury. The neighborhood is currently undergoing renovation, and you may come across buildings under construction or being restored. Without a doubt, the location is its strongest point, thanks to its proximity to all major attractions. The area is safe, although it has a humble, working-class character and may at times appear somewhat marginal. We recommend that guests seeking complete tranquility or hotel-level standards consider these aspects before booking.
You will not need a car, but if you do bring one, we recommend Parking Atlántida or Parking La Merced (street parking in the center is difficult, though not impossible).
The apartment can accommodate up to 4 people. The living room and kitchen share the same open space, featuring a chaise-longue sofa, Smart TV, air conditioning, and all essential kitchenware for a pleasant stay. The bedrooms have independent entrances from a small interior patio accessed through the kitchen (they do not face the street). This layout is ideal if you are coming to work remotely, as these rooms offer excellent silence. Each bedroom includes a Smart TV, air conditioning, and its own en-suite bathroom with a shower. We provide Wi-Fi, as well as bed linens and towels.
You won’t get Cathedral views, as this is an interior apartment, but you will enjoy a privileged location that allows you to move around the city easily—no car needed. :)
As in all CLEF Málaga 🌞 Apartments, you will find the following services:

⭐ The beds will be made 🛏️, and we’ll provide one set of towels 🛁(shower and hand towel) for all registered guests.Additional towel sets are available upon request.

Linen and laundry:All our sheets and towels are washed, dried, and ironed in an industrial laundry, ensuring 100% cleanliness, safety, and hygiene. However, please note that high-quality cleaning products are used, and washing is done at temperatures above 60ºC. Some stains may appear due to chemical reactions between cosmetic products (tanning creams, makeup, etc.) and laundry products (active oxygen, bleach, detergents, etc.).
Reservation modifications:Will be accepted within the free cancellation period, provided the calendar allows it.
Clef Málaga Office Hours:Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. On weekends, our team will handle emergencies and important issues during your stay. For administrative matters, please wait until office hours to be assisted.

The architecture of the building means that there’s virtually no sound proofing between apartments. In winter, it’s just about ok, but in summer it will be really noisy I think. The residents above us ( family with small children) sounded as if they were in our apartment. The owners are very strict about keeping noise to a minimum, but you can’t do anything about the other residents. That said, it’s clean and comfortable and in a terrific location for sightseeing and places to eat in the old city.

The apartment is in a good location and is very basic as mentioned. The water pressure in the showers, is very low, making washing your hair a big challenge. There is only one door into the place and no windows or second exit if their was a fire, no smoke detectors or extinguisher. The windows that appear in the center, are to other apartments an have bars on them.
We left as this was a complete misrepresentation of the photos online. Cracked stairs . Garbage dump in front . 2 bedrooms not 3. Third floor not first . There was an outdoor space separating rooms with a tent with mold . The air quality was suffocating and unbreathable . People were climbing walls in front to do graffiti . Did not feel healthy or safe . We have a case number but no one got back to us yet , however sent email to review .
