"Brilliant resort close to the beach."
Visited during low peak period. The resort was wonderful and peaceful. It is surrounded by lovely gardens which are well maintained and you feel close to nature. There are tennis courts on the grounds if you are into sport. Sandy clean beach is just within walking distance. Enjoyed long walks and the scenic views. Even though it was meant to be winter period you could appreciate the warmth of the sun the whole day but got a bit cooler in the evenings. Staff were brilliant and helpful at all times. Food was good and you had the choice of visiting other restaurants in the vicinity within walking distance.

"Lovely hotel, near the beach and a promenade"
Superb hotel in every respect - friendly staff, nice restaurant for evening dining and garden room for breakfast. Adjacent "Cappucino" snack bar on sea front which served food and drinks at any time. High quality rooms and cleanliness.

"Good base for visiting area."
Liked the room and location. there is a row of shops restaurants and bars just around the and a car park opposite. Didn't think much of the on site café so didn't use it or the bar. Nice swimming pool. We were searching for apartments to buy and this was a great location as a base. The beach is within reasonable walking distance but the beach is quiet and non commercial. Getting on and off the A7 is a nightmare (no slip road) The staff were very friendly and very helpful. If they have an apartment for sale I will seriously consider buying it.

"Great, but rent a car. "
This resort is great for kids--lots of pools, nice beach, tons of activities. But unless you want to eat at the same 2 restaurants for days (which aren't that great), rent a car. The towns of Marbella and San Pedro are a 15-20 minute drive and there's nothing else close to the resort. If you want to go to an off-site grocery or eat anywhere other than the hotel you need a car.

"Marbella Playa Hotel Gran Confort"
We really enjoyed our stay at the Marbella Playa Hotel! The employees were friendly, although a bit disorganized when it came to payment and charging things to the room (not unusual for Spain.) The pool and beach facilities were great, although you have to pay extra for the sun beds on the beach. A taxi or car rental is needed to get to Marbella center. If you miss breakfast you can't order food until 12:30 when the beach bar opens, but there is an Open Cor supermarket about 5 minutes walk from the hotel so that was convenient. The water slides and kiddie pool looked fun, I would definitely recommend this to families with children, however as students in our early 20's we still had a great time.

"Excellent value for money"
We went early October 2015, 2 adults and 2 kids 8 & 6. We found the hotel to be very good, great entertainment for the kids each evening and nice pools during the day. The younger kids club looked good as well. Only downside for us was the room size was slightly smaller than we thought it would be, ie web photos. This would not put us off going again. The staff were excellent, also the breakfasts are great. Getting around is easy with buses at the bottom of the hill and walking distance to quite a few tourist attractions.

"Overall I was Happy with the hotel. Would go back"
Overall I was happy with the hotel after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor. The hotel was clean and the staff welcoming and very helpful both at reception/pool and restaurant. The pool area had lots of activatity for both adults and children. If you did want to visit the Aqua park then there is a free shutle bus that leaves the hotel every 10/15 mins which was fantastic. After reading some of the reviews regarding the food at lunch time and in the evening I can tell you that the was plenty of variety and the food tasted good (kids loved the desert section). The only negative comments I can give about this hotel is that you are out of the way of any shops so you would have to catch a Bus into town but if you want a relaxing holiday with the kids by the pool with no shops etc then this hotel is great. Would recommend this hotel and would go back
