The place is a restored historic estate on the riverfront. I stayed street side and the room was still very quiet. Large bathroom and very soft bed. Very comfy!
Hotel is converted from old Paranakan house, very beautiful. Surprisingly the room was quiet and soundproof, I expected it could be noisy but it wasn’t. Bathroom was very big and clean, room and bad were clean, only the carpet is due for change. Hotel provide free parking slot. counter staff was helpful and courteous. Will stay again if back to Malacca.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
There was no window in our room. AC was working fine. Room and bathroom was clean. No complaint there except towels were smelling.
The breakfast options were very limited and poor. U get to choose from 3 sets and it just has 1 egg, 1 sausage or pancake and one chicken piece.
The swimming pool is not open and the hotel staff is not sure when it would be fixed.
There is no help to move your lugggage.
Only plus point is that from the backdoor u get access to the river side.
Expedia is rating it 8.5 but definitely its not 8.5. Its an average hotel nothing exceptional about the hotel. Rating should be around 5 to 6.
The hotel is just located beside Malacca River, there are food street beside the river just behind the hotel. and is also walking distance to the infamous Jonker street.

This boutique hotel served our purposes very well. It is in an excellent location, next to the river and within easy walking distance of the town. Our room faced the river, and the balcony made for a great location to relax. Good air con too. There was some noise from walkers outside, but not excessive, and not during the quiet hours. Friendly and helpful staff. The only downside is that the property is in need of renovation, although the owner told us that this is in hand. Also, it’s not really a factor if you spend your time out and about. Overall, we were very happy with the hotel and considered it good value.
Lovely quiet hotel by the riverside . Near a few places to eat and a short walk to the main areas of Malacca. Staff are helpful and friendly . Breakfast is basic but freshly prepared for you . Swimming pool is currently closed which was a shame .
Would definitely use this hotel again .
Great spot in Malacca. Friendly staff. Upkeep of the property is needed, lots of watermarks, peeling ceilings, frayed linen etc. all clean and comfy though. Pool out of action whilst we were there. Recommend the deluxe room overlooking the river, very spacious
Last minute booking and came across this hotel by chance, read the review and decided to give the family suite a try since is only for a night. Surprisingly, this hotel though not new, is well kept and gives us a very cosy and comfortable stay. The location of the hotel is just minutes to Jonker Street which is a super plus point. The only challenge is the carparking which is free for hotel guest but a narrow alley just opposite the hotel.
Easy to reach the hotel to follow Waze. The font desk staff reacted promptly when I stopped my car at the roadside front of the hotel to ask for parking lot. They provide parking lot with spotlights during night time which is really safe to park.
This is the 1st time I give credits to hotel's toiletries, I love their brown color soap a lot. Hope they'll continue to provide this good soap!
I like peranakan feeling and the location. The free parking is first come first serve , 4 parking lots only. Anyway I managed to get one. Breakfast quality and service need to be improved. One of the Malay waitress always looking at her hand phone.

The hotel had a no alcohol rule. I drink therefore I didn't stay and lost my money. This rule should have been made apparent on the website.
Like:
Walking distance to Jonker and this is boutique hotel and cleanliness is maintained.
Dislike:
Parking is always an issue for hotel in or around Jonker. The room has a staircase just right after you enter the room and quite dangerous if ppl didn't aware.
I couldn't leave because of the corona spread.
It is extremely unpleasant to the hotel's response that it does not even reply that it cannot be canceled.
Isn't it the least polite to the customer to reply?
The service is messed up
