"Our goal for our trip to Japan was to hike Mount Fuji, but one of the unexpected highlights was our stay at the Kappo Ryokan Uoichi! Post-hike, we moved from Tokyo to Osaka with a stop at the Ryokan in Shimada. Two families (eight of us) stayed at Kappo Ryokan Uoichi and had a wonderful time. "Really enjoyed my stay here. The room was the typical compact size you expect from a Japanese business hotel, but it felt modern, clean, and comfortable. The public baths were a real highlight — spacious, relaxing, and spotless. Staff were friendly and attentive. The location is excellent, with plenty of restaurants, shops, and nightlife just a short walk away. A reliable and well-run hotel that I’d gladly stay at again."
