"Clean, quiet cabin. Several cabins fairly close by on the property. A thicket of trees separates the property from a golf course and it is a couple of blocks from a highway, so not exactly secluded. That isn't necessarily a negative. I felt safe there and it was easy to find with the directions from the host It was a quiet environment and very pleasant to sit out on the deck which was shaded by a tree at Cabin 2. Unlike some of the other cabins, mine had only two steps up to the deck, so access was quite easy. Had a nice stone fireplace that would've been cozy if I was there in winter. As it was in the mid- nineties. I appreciated the AC. Had everything I needed for making simple meals. Bed was very comfortable, and was a great base for day hikes to many different areas of the Shawnee, not just Giant City. Close to places to get gas, groceries, too. Good value and I hope to stay there on my next trip."
