"This was a great overnight stay. Fairly basic hotel, but the rooms were roomy with comfortable beds and bathroom that had sink and mirror separate from toilet and shower, which I find convenient for a couple. Very hospitable and helpful staff, including a warm cookie upon arrival. Also had one of the better informal breakfasts I’ve had, with cheese omelet and wheat waffles. Very walkable to Main Street restaurants and brewery, along with convenience store next door. Deck and fire pit overlooked the countryside. The maintenance issues were an empty hand soap container in our room and broken ice machine. The night attendant quickly resolved both. Our floors were also squeaky and you could hear hallway noise a bit but no issue overnight."

"The cottage was perfect. Exactly as described and pictured. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes. The living room was comfortable and plenty of light to read or crochet. The location was close to many of the things we wanted to see. I'd definitely recommend this place. The host communicated with me several times before our arrival with helpful information. She was quick to respond to questions as well. Overall this was a great vacation. 10 plus stars!!!"

"We stayed in Hill City to bike the George S Mickelson Trail. Dennis and Tonya's accommodations are perfectly located to facilitate a single lodging locale to complete the entire trail in three to four daily segments. The home is within a quarter mile of the trail and within walking distance to downtown Hill City, including several excellent eating establishments recommended by the host.The location was not the only perfect aspect of our stay! The hosts had homemade blueberry muffins and cookies waiting for us upon our arrival. The accommodations were spotless, up-to-date and extremely comfortable. Kitchen is fully stocked and great if you want to eat "at home". Every morning, we cooked breakfast and were kept company by wild turkeys and deer just off our patio.Two critical elements that can make or break our stay are the beds and the shower. Both hit a home run as the firmness of the bed was ideal and the shower had great pressure and a fabulous hot water supply . . . 2 thumbs up!The hosts were top notch . . . very responsive and flexible to our needs. Without any hesitation, we recommend Dennis and Tonya's house to everyone visiting the area."
