"Une maison bien adaptée pour nos retrouvailles annuelles en famille, avec mes fils, neveu, belle-fille, et surtout mon petit-fils de 4 mois, et la chienne Enid! A l'arrivée, comme la maison était restée inoccupée, il a fallu bien aérer pour faire partir les odeurs de renfermé. Les équipements pour le jardin (table, fauteuils) étaient entreposés dans la remise; nous les avons installés. (nous avons renoncé à installer la piscine, qui était couverte de poussière). "This was a peaceful place with a lovely hostess who gave us some eggs from her hens. There is a tiny table with two chairs outside the door and a larger space with garden furniture under a canopy further down the garden, although this would be more comfortable if it could be contrived to put it on level ground. The living space was fine for two people."

"From the word Go I was impressed by the location of the property and the kindness of the owners. The property is charming and quirky, the facilities are amazing, the sleeping quarters with ensuite bathroom are excellent, what is there not to like? Best Stay Ever !!

"Wow what can I say - we had a fantastic 2 week holiday at the Chateau and hope to return one day Highlights - the house furnishings and grounds , the equipment and a very special mention to Nicolas , the manager who was so helpful and even took it upon himself to cook us the local delicacy- he is a credit to the place !Montmorillon is a delight Criticisms - not anything I can immediately think of to be honest . The local villages are very quiet in late May/early June and the bars /cafes open periodically. Maybe a schedule of what is open when in Journet and La Trimouille would be helpful but that is nit -picking Thank you Stephen !!! "

Convenient and friendly

"The hotel was in an ideal location for us so very convenient. Its a common place for truckers to stop overnight. If the restaurant is closed there is a supermarket 8 mins drive or a pizza vending machine 3 minutes drive. Friendly staff. No vegetarian options tho and the walls very thin in the cabins (not ideal if youre travelling with a child and theres a couple next door🙈). The shutters are fab, leave the room pitch black at any hour."
