"Nicer than other two star hotels I've stayed in, a bit high priced for the condition of the property. Nothing gross. Okay for one night. "

"If you’re just needing a place to stay and explore Red Wing this is an excellent place to stay. You can walk to a couple of great restaurants/bars. The downtown is just a 5min drive. "

"There were no children, only adults over 65. Communication with host was great and the cleaning lady was lovely. She was just finishing when we arrived at 4 p.m. The location allows for a great view of Lake Pepin and easy hiking."

"Stayed here after a concert and had a comfortable stay. Had reserved a room with a hot tub but there was a malfunction with the hot tub before my arrival and had to switch to a lower room type but they informed me about it a few days before arrival to let me decide what i wanted to do. They also said they would refund the price difference between the room we reserved and the room we got. The breakfast had the coolest pancakes machine i've ever seen in a hotel. It had me and three other women watching it while it made my breakfast."

"Sunset Motel exceeded my expectations! The property is clean with a great view of the lake just across the street. Check in is a breeze and staff is very communicative. Highly recommend!"

"My family stayed in several rooms here for a mini family reunion and we all had a great experience. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and went out of their way to help us. My room had a lovely view of the river. We all enjoyed looking at the historical exhibits around the hotel. Red Wing is a cute town too."

"Breakfast was minimal, but there were apples, muffins, etc. Good coffee."
