About this property

Peaceful and private sanctuary with incredible 180 degree views in Maggie Valley

  • **New to VRBO**
A relaxing and peaceful retreat with spectacular views in a very private location where you can't see your neighbors. At 4,200 feet in elevation, the house provides cool temperatures and views for miles.

Paved access and only 7 minutes to Maggie Valley, 15 minutes to Waynesville and 40 minutes to Asheville. Three levels of decks offer outdoor living at its finest for enjoying the sunsets and star gazing.
This smoke free and pet free home is located near the top of a mountain and the drive is steep. If you are afraid of curvy mountain roads, this might not be the property for you. Also, be advised that Upper Summit Rd. becomes impassable with ice or snow even with 4WD. Refunds will be given up to the night before a stay in case of weather that creates dangerous conditions for guests.

    Guest access
Guests will access to the whole house during their stay.

    Other things to note
    - TV: There is 1 large screen SmartTV in the living room and we have YouTubeTV available for guests.

    - Panoramic Mountain Views: long range views seen from inside the house and on the multiple private decks.

    - Trash Service: All Trash must be bagged and placed in the bear proof can outside. Due to bears in the area, excess trash that cannot be sealed and locked in the bear proof trash can is the responsibility of the Guests to take to The Haywood solid waste center. They are open daily but closed on Sundays.

    - Nature: The beauty of nature can be seen and heard throughout your stay. Animals seen around the property include deer, bears, hawks, turkeys, and other woodland creatures. Please do not keep food inside your vehicle.

Our stay was truly magical from start to finish. The home was impeccably clean and thoughtfully designed with amenities that made it perfect for both adults and kids—from yoga balls and a ping pong table to construction paper and colored pencils. The fully stocked kitchen made cooking easy, and we loved the gas grill and ample seating for gathering together. The balconies were a favorite spot, complete with lounge chairs and cozy blankets—perfect for relaxing, cloud watching, and unwinding. Inside, the beautiful bedding and abundance of soft blankets added to the comfort, while the bright, cheerful bathrooms were well-stocked with plenty of towels. The layout was ideal for families, with three full bathrooms and a half bath, so no one ever felt crowded. The loft sitting area between the two upstairs bedrooms, featuring a futon, essentially created a fourth bedroom and added great flexibility. The info book was incredibly helpful, offering recommendations for things to do, see, and try. Whether enjoying the fireplace or simply soaking in the peaceful surroundings, this home felt like a fairytale escape from everyday life—a place where both adults and children can truly relax and dream. We would absolutely stay again.

Absolutely beautiful, modern home with great views of the Smoky Mountains. Very quiet and peaceful, and the hosts went out of their way to make checking in, enjoying the property, and checking out easy. The home was very clean, comfortable, modern, and well furnished, with every detail thought through - we loved everything about it.Its very close to Waynesville and right above Maggie Valley (the NC side of the mountains is so much quieter and peaceful than the TN side). Its also close to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We will definitely stay here again when we visit the area - we couldn't recommend it highly enough.
