"This is a nice property near Phabeni gate of Kruger National Park, which is just a 6 minute drive. Akani is a great host and if you need anything he will bend over backwards to help! You can park right next to your chalet, which is very helpful. - I personally hate lodges where you have to park a distance away! - There is a pub nearby that gets noisy at times, but if you run a fan it drowns out the noise. The property is very close to the main road and is very safe! "

8/10 Good

This was out 3rd stay at Westlodge: 2014, 2019 and 2024. We keep coming back due to its quality. It's obviously under new management since our last visit. We were made to feel very welcome by the hosts. Breakfast was lovely and of good quality. If I could give 4.5 I would. I just feel the standard has slipped since our last visit. Our room was lovely but in need of some minor maintenance. I chose this place because they offered dinner on our 2 previous occasions. Unfortunately this is no...

We stayed 3 nights and what a truly amazing place to stay. Beautiful and super comfortable rooms - huge with lots of amenity. The sundowners lounge overlooking the sunset was truly stunning. The food - both breakfast and dinner were delicious. The pools (we had a private plunge pool) as well as the main pool were beautiful. Best of all the staff were brilliant and could not help enough. Joan (Manager) was lovely, Charles (does everything - garden maintenance, waiter, reception etc), and on and...

Incredible place. The rooms were amazing as well as the food and the staff couldn’t have been any more friendly and welcoming. An added bonus that they had two very friendly dogs that live in the property and like to say hello. Would recommend this place to anybody as a base to do their safari tours from or if it was just a relaxing time you were looking for, this place certainly fits the bill as well with a swimming pool and spa on site.
