"Lovely house in beautiful grounds with helpful and hospitable hosts. Beach about 5 mins walk away. Shops about 10 mins; bars & restaurants about 15 - 20 mins. Tuk tuks generally available nearby if preferred. No other tourists or foreigners in immediate area. No hot water (if that's a problem for others - it wasn't for us)."

"Fantastic location and wonderful staff who go out of their way to help. Especially Fifi, the manager of the restaurant who takes care of you as if you are family. The only downside is accessibility. You have to walk along a rutted and pot holed road and risk twisting an ankle, especially in the dark. Otherwise, would definitely recommend. "

"Good idea but lacks in execution. The only positives for me are the front desk staff and comfortable bed. On the negatives, the rooms are too dark and stuffy (install dimmers instead), cleanliness can be improved upon... some areas were dusty and there were blood stains (guessing mosquito blood) on parts of the mosquito net and bed sheets, the mosquito net had big holes, mosquito repellent spray was not available, shower inadequate."

"Perfect location!! Easy walk to a multitud of restaurants. Right on the beach! Perfect balconies to take in the beautiful sunsets. Onky down side was there was quite a few days where there was no power for hours to only several units (ours being one of them) in the building. The repairs seemed to always be temporary. Hope this is now fully rectified."

"The staff at this hotel are very nice, the food is ok, the room is clean enough but very dark and the shower barely trickled any water at all. The only real positive for us was that it is only a 5 minute walk from town."

"3 night booking. I arrived at about 9pm on the first night after a long and tiring journey, but my room was not ready. I had to wait about 30 minutes whilst staff went to get towels and soap, as well as a floor-standing fan - there was a fan already in the room but it was broken with the guard cover on the floor. I asked about a room safe, and after a short wait 2 staff members came back in to the room carrying a large, shoddy looking wooden stand and a room safe. The safe was in a terrible...
