"Was not able to enjoy amenities because of the weather and early departure but the view looked lovely. The floor in our room was VERY noisy and the bathroom could do woth some updating. The shower curtain was old and discoloured and the shower faucet very basic and flew all over the place unless you held it. Had dinner at the restaurant and the food was not great. Breakfast looked good but we didn't have time to enjoy as we had a flight to catch. Staff were wonderful!"

"Moldy lower level with damp sheets and pillows. Shower has been leaking for years (see Google reviews). Lower level woodstove broken and unusable. Lower level cold and unhealthy therefore, so our daughter slept upstairs, sharing a room with her brother and his wife (with a mattress on the floor). Host provided now, dry sheets for her but not a dry pillow. The nightly scratching/pecking in the ceilings kept us awake. Rats? There are three rat traps lining the house’s perimeter.Ultimately, we used 2/3 of the house. VRBO says it will take our concerns under advisement as a health and safety issue. As an aside, if you are not agile or a wide guest, beware of the steps to the lower level. They are narrow and steep. "
