"The room was small but very clean and functional with a small balcony facing the harbor. The staff were great. Being a historical building it did not have elevators, but porters did all the transport of our luggage to and from the room and even to and from the ferry."
"The staff were wonderful and accommodated our need to be on a floor that that could be reached by elevator. Switched us to a different room that was top of the line without charging us anything for the upgrade. The breakfast was better than most and included some hot items not usually found on a continental breakfast offering. We had a room with a lake view balcony. The sliding glass door was very hard to open with worn or sand clogged wheels. It didn't matter because unfortunately the annual Midge fly hatching had occurred and there were clouds of the pests everywhere outside preventing us from opening the door anyway."
"Water dripped from ceiling in bathroom. 1 of 3 lights over bathroom sink worked. Light in King bedroom had no bulb. No “do not disturb” sign for door. No lid for ice bucket. However, for only two people that are pretty self-sufficient, the stay actually went pretty well. Dining room for breakfast felt like the heat was on though."
"The staff was friendly and helpful. The miniature golf course was fun and unique. Bistro by the greens was excellent and had live music. We rented bikes right at the resort to explore the island. We highly recommend this resort."
"Loved our stay here. The hot tub area is very clean and temp is 100-104. Only complaint I have is no mini frig or coffee maker. . Staff was very friendly and complimentary breakfast was plenty."
"The porters from the ferry will bring your luggage to your room when you arrive on the island and take them to the ferry when you are leaving. Greeted by friendly staff (We had the pleasure of meeting Clair and Cora) at the Pine Cottage. Breakfast is amazing! We ate there 5 of the 6 days we were there. Easy to navigate the stairs as long as you don't have knee issues. The cleaning staff were amazing; unobtrusive and quick! Be sure to come back around 4pm for tea time and those giant cookies! We loved the room with the private bath! Claw foot tub so bring your bubble bath; You won't find any on the island! If you needed anything, just ask. We can't wait to come back!"
"Beautiful grounds with hammocks, lawn games, countless flowers, and views to Lake Huron and Mighty Mac. The rooms in the summer house had nice terrace gardens. The food was pricey, but delicious at casual restaurant. We bought breakfast sandwiches from General Store which were delicious and fast. We took the shuttle to and from town, but it is also walkable if the weather is nice."
