"The worst “hotel” imaginable. Staff have no idea what they’re doing. No wifi (i mean who needs wifi). I was told to be ready at 6 am
sharp for transport to the city. It never came. The hotel reception said that in Peru when we say 6 am we really mean 7 am. Unbelievable. I only woke up at 5 am and was there 15 minutes early. I had to hitch a ride with another couple’s driver (pure luck) to get to the city, My driver is still probably on his way. The worst part is in my haste I left behind my hat....
"Our room was fastidiously clean and kept tidy. Staff was amazing and made sure all our needs were met, and went out of their way to make us welcome. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The service during meals was just outstanding--we did not have to wait between courses or for our glasses to be refilled as staff kept a close eye. The food was wonderful, with locally-sourced ingredients and inventive recipes. The excursions w"
"A great experience, I loved the stone finishes, the sunset, the shine of the moon from the view of the hotel, my girlfriend and I were delighted with our stay, we hope to return in the future, thank JULIA who welcomed us and gave us good attention."
"This quirky hotel is in a spectacular location in Colca Canyon. The staff are very welcoming and warm which is great as it gets very cold in winter. Just take ear plugs for potential dog barking but definitely worth a stay at La Granja."

"Best location in Colca Canyon to see the Andean condors. Staff, facilities were superb with a nice spa and hot tubs. The general area is rustic, and there is really only one good road into Colca Canyon from either Puno or Arequipa. It's a high-altitude area, so be prepared to be impacted if you plan to engage in any physical activities. "
"Beautiful rustic property on the edge of the canyon. The views are unbelievable, the condors are amazing, we saw some each of the 3 days we were there. Edgar and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful.
Comments regarding no heat and the rooms be cold at night are quite accurate. We stayed Sept 18-20 and it was cold at night. However there are plenty of blankets and if you sleep in thermals and socks you’ll be fine.
Nice shower and hot water.
You can arrange taxi service to Cananaconde if you’re trekking from there. Edgar took us to town (50 /s) and picked us up the following day when we came back up from Sangalle Oasis.
Be aware the hotel is ~1.5km from the road, up a driveway I would not want to walk up carrying my backpacks.
We’ve been to some awesome places in our travels -this hotel in # 1 or 2 for the views!

"An absolutely incredible place to relax and explore the Colca Valley! The location couldn’t be better—just steps from the hot springs, which we had almost entirely to ourselves on a weekday. The amenities were top-notch, the bed was luxuriously soft, and feeding the alpacas was a truly unforgettable experience. This spot exceeded our expectations in every way and made our visit to the Colca Valley unforgettable."

Don’t speak a word of English for those that don’t speak Spanish. Avoid this like the plague."
"Exceptional sevice at this hidden hotel full of private casitas. Perfect for romantic couple trips.
Staff will go above and boyond in providing an mwmorable tailored experience."
