Mabel and Harry's, a modern country guest house

Mabel and Harry's guest house is situated in the pristine rural beauty of the Indiana countryside. This historic colonial farmhouse has been renovated into a luxury retreat. A mix of the old and the new: original architectural features and ultra HD TVs; an induction cooktop and a speckled enamelware kettle; antique nightstands and highest quality bamboo sheets and bedding. The house was designed with the intention that our guests will experience the quiet elegance of this country getaway.

Great Family Stay

What a wonderful place to stay. Better than advertised. Warm and cozy with plenty of room for our group of 9. Entire home was “HIGH END”. Would highly recommend!!!

Beautiful Property

We stayed here for a softball tournament. The property was so nice. We had a great time around the big kitchen table and outside in the yard. Everything was just so special.

Christmas stay

Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Delicious cake, food and drink upon arrival. So nice not to have to go to the grocery immediately. Perfect for our family visiting family for Christmas. Great communications. We didn’t want to leave. Best accommodations in Kokomo.. We will be back.

Such a perfect getaway

We had a small group for a crafting weekend and what a perfect place. The details were amazing. The setting was awesome. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. We loved being there and already looking for a date to go back.

Wedding Weekend

We booked the farmhouse several months ago when my son and his fiance decided to get married in Kokomo. The house was the perfect size for the eight of us and Janny was wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend staying, if not for the accomidations, then for the brilliant sunsets.

Great stay!

Beautiful, quiet place, clean and exactly as pictured- even more cute and peaceful in person! I was there with coworkers for a work trip and I'm sorry we didn't get to actually be in the house more to fully enjoy it! Can't recommend enough. Host was lovely, communicative and left thoughtful touches and a bakery gift, which we devoured. If ever in the area will absolutely stay again!

Best Rental Property in Indiana!

The place is stunning, a truly updated farmhouse. You are surrounded by farmland and seeing it being harvested was very calming. The place takes you back to a simpler time but with modern amenities. You are just outside Kokomo made it easy to get around town using SR 931 or US 31.

Such a special place!

This was our second year at Mabel and Harry's and it was just as wonderful as the first. It's a beautiful, peaceful home with thoughtful touches from a lovely host. Easy to get to spots in town (check out the pool!). The layout is great for family or group of friends. We had 3 kids under 3 and they loved the yard and large back room. Already planning our next visit.

My daughters sweet 16 birthday party was a success

We decided to host our daughter's sweet 16 birthday party here and it was the perfect setting and the perfect party to celebrate such an amazing young woman. She and her friends all loved it there and they had everything we had forgot to bring. I have 2 more daughters that will be turning 16 one day so this may become a tradition. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Highly recommended.

A true five star stay

The place is super cute and immaculately clean. The decor is obviously done by someone who has an eye for detail and the house provides everything you’d need or want. Lotsa spaces to hang out, great outdoor space for a campfire, and the Xmas decorations were so good. Communication with Janny was super prompt and friendly. Highly recommend.

Fall Fantasy

The entire experience was excellent. From the first drive up to the front door to the comfortable interior we could not ask for more. My daughters were so excited to be in town for a wedding and were so happy we were staying in a home that truly felt like home. Clean, well decorated and the small gifts left for us were an excellent touch!

Incredible!

The photos do not do this house justice. It's absolutely beautiful and perfect for large group stays. It has everything you could possible need. The host did an amazing job paying attention to detail, providing a list of great local spots and even providing us a cake from a local bakery. We had the best time watching the sunset on the back porch!

Family wedding

Mabel and Harry’s Guest house is amazing. The home is absolutely stunning, very clean and so comfortable. Our 37 year old son said “it was the best VRBO he has ever had the pleasure to stay.” The host, Janny, was so kind, thoughtful and quick to respond. She totally surprised us with a beautiful and delicious cake and even stocked other food items-all that were so unexpected; but very much appreciated. Thank you for a fantastic weekend! We really enjoyed your beautiful home, loved your attention to details and appreciated your kindness and thoughtfulness.

stayed at mabel and harrys with my mom, aunt, daughter cousins, sisters and niece and granddaughter. Everyone loved the house! We had a little trouble after a storm and the host was over first thing in the morning to see if we needed anything. Seems like she thought of everthing and more. We are talking about another trip:)

Sibling Reunion

We grew up in the corn and bean fields of Indiana. We are now in our sixties, seventies and eighties! We are scattered now and don't get to spend much time together. Our getaway was perfect. The house is gorgeous and so comfortingly homey .Each bedroom has its own bath. Absolutely everything you need is provided. In addition Janny s little gifts make you feel so welcomed! Thank you Janny and Thank you Mabel and Harry!

Above and Beyond

Oh my! The house was perfect: so homey, inviting, and relaxing. So many comfy and tastefully decorated places to gather in with our friends. The kitchen was SO well stocked with cooking needs, and the yard was spacious and great for playing bocce ball. Janny was detailed with check-in instructions and super responsive when we had questions. The snacks and drinks that were there for us were a special touch. Such a sweet, hospitable experience! Everyone in our group said they would totally come back again. Thank you!!

Top notch experience

This home is super cute and well appointed. Great for families or couples. Beautifully appointed. Large showers and ample washing and drying facilities. Comfortable beds. Plenty of serveware and cookware provided. Lots of yard to play in. Very nice deck with grill and fire pit. Space to park 3 to 4 cars. Electrical on the exterior to plug in RV and/or electric vehicle. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone we know, but we are from California and probably will never make it out this way again.

Fantastic farmhouse weekend stay!

What a beautiful job Janny did in remodeling and decorating this cute modern farmhouse! I had my three grown sons with their wives and grandson with me for a long Fourth of July weekend. We came into town for our family reunion of 70 people. Everyone was jealous of the place we stayed compared to their hotel! From the beautiful way she designed and decorated it to the super comfortable beds and pillows to the cake, snacks and drinks she left for us …. If I could give it more than a five star I would. Everyone said this was the best VRBO we’ve ever rented! From the very comfortable patio there was a beautiful sunset over the Indiana bean/cornfields also! Next time I’m back in Kokomo I will definitely book it again!

The perfect place for family

This rehabbed farmhouse was the stuff of dreams. We wanted to live there permanently. It is jaw dropping, right out of a magazine. The luxury finishes did not keep it from being cozy, though. We stayed here for a funeral and it was 3 adult couples, two kids and a toddler. We had plenty of space and privacy. We had 4 cars and plenty of parking with room for more. The gas fireplace was warm and easy. The owner provided us with so many snacks, beverages, breakfast items and a magnificent cake. She went above and beyond, and that is exactly how I must describe this property. If you need to be in central Indiana you won't find a better place to stay.

I didn't want to leave

The moment we pulled up it was an instagram moment! So inviting, warm and cozy! Janny has thought of everything when it comes to making her guests feel comfortable and welcome. It was so lovely to have fresh organic goodies in our fridge for breakfast and coffee stocked. A bottle of bubbly left with a lovely dessert for our girls weekend was just beyond kind! We all slept like babies in the super comfy beds, the fireplace, ambient lighting in every room complete with timer candles and real ones too felt like we could have hibernated there all Winter! The showers were also amazing with endless hot water and bath towels so luxe from Turkey, they were the softest! The host made sure we were well cared for with her attention to detail. I didn't have a single question when I was there. She even left suggestions for where to eat and everything. It truly was the perfect getaway to bond with my best friends for a girls weekend. Looking forward to going back.
