Be prepared for steep stairs! I knew there wasn't an elevator, but staying on the fourth (US fifth) floor was a pretty steep hike. The room and bed were comfortable, though the TV didn't have a signal. The bathroom was a bit cramped, but the shower had great water pressure and hot water. There wasn't daily housekeeping in the room, which was fine for me, but FYI for others. I loved the convenience of the location -- it was close to a lot and super convenient, but on a quiet canal and so was nicely peaceful at night. It was also a lot closer to Waterlooplein than it seemed on the map, so that was a nice surprise when arriving. The room would be tight for two people, but wasn't too cramped for just me.

This is not a true B&B. They have very limited facilities on site and do not keep their desk open for extended hours. It is a converted house, each floor is like a private suite. There are limited amenities in the suite too. Bring your own soaps/shampoos and be sure to ask for extra towels! It's in a very convenient location and is clean enough.

Very unique and beautiful historic building. My room had a great view of a canal with houseboats. Easy walking distance from train station and countless cute restaurants and shops in the old town canals and alleyways.
