You don't often run into a front desk that actually makes you feel like they are happy to see you, this is one them. Clean, welcoming, warm, peaceful vibe from the second I checked in. Just outside of town its the perfect retreat to peace. Thank you!

Unit 9 was clean and furnished nicely, but it was ice cold when I arrived. It was the next day when the room finally became warm. The deadbolt didn’t work. The shower handle was impossible and actually came off in my hand. The shower drain cover was loose, a hazard. It’s a budget room that could be easily presentable with a few fixes.

Overall this was a nice cozy place to stay! I wish there would’ve been pictures of the outside of the motel rooms. Either way the room was good enough for what we needed! The staff was really nice and helpful. The only thing I will say is that the door in our room had a gap (which is an easy fix with some weather stripping) however this gap caused brown spiders to come in the room. We killed 3. Other than that this place was super clean and quiet! Would come back.

False Advertisement. It is a cheap motel on the side of the mountain. the bathroom didn't have an outlet in it so i had to blow dry and curl my hair by the front door across from a mirror hung on the outside of the bathroom. there is a mirror inside the bathroom but no outlet. also the fan in the bathroom did not work. there wasn't streaming or cable tv, it was local stations only so PBS. its not very quiet as it is directly off the main road up the mountain, in a parallel fashion. and the worst part was the blanket wasn't a blanket, it was a sham. it was about 1/8" thick blanket. the pillows were hard. i never leave bad reviews but this one really takes the cake.

This property is not as advertised. The pictures for this property did not portray where I stayed. My room was not in a stand-alone cabin as was advertised nor was the inside of the room clean and quaint. The room was connected to a row of rooms, there were markings/stains/chunks of paint missing on the walls, the room was very basic and the furnishings were dated, the bathroom mirror was dirty, one of the heater knobs was broken and when the heater was turned on it sounded like a diesel generator. The bedspread was thin and no extra blankets were in the room. There is no curtain across the back window. I would not stay in this property again and I won't recommend others to stay in this property.

I loved this place! Best sleep I have had in a long time! Rooms are basic but comfortable. Very clean! Convenient to downtown and close to Estes Park and Rocky Mountains. Would definitely do again! Only thing I would do different is stay longer!

Our room was #3. TV didn't work. Called # and talked with a man who said he would take care of it. Was told it would be done while we went to dinner. Never showed. By the way every outlet in this room is worn out, your charging units will fall out of the socket. But it was clean.

The beds were comfortable, would of liked a couple of chairs and a small table. No where to sit except on the beds and no where to put luggage except on the floor. It's a good location, close to Lyons and only 20 miles to Estes Park.

I would say this little cabin was quaint. The bathroom was a little small and no plug for your blow dryer but it has a small coffee maker, a little ice box and a microwave. It is much cheaper to stay here than in Estes Park!

It was just great. The cabin was roomy and the upstairs loft for my teenager was just right for a teenager. It was appropriately rustic in the kitchen as well stocked with everything I needed to cook, not to mention a full sized refrigerator, a toaster and a coffee maker and a real full sized stove. The only thing I would say is maybe instruct the teenage groundskeeper to wait until after lunch to mow the lawn and blow leaves... that just kinda put a dent in brunch.

We wanted to be close to Edtes Park. This place was comfortable and clean and right on the road to Estes Park. They have done a nice job of renovating.

Easy commute to Rock Mountain national park. Reasonably priced for overnight stay when visiting RMNP, if you don’t want to pay higher price at Estes Park. The room came with kitchen. We were planning to checkout early to start our hike to Sky Pond. This lodge was just convenient for that. The office was closed by 8 pm it looks like. The room key was available in an envelope placed in mailbox in front of the office. There is a river running in front of the property giving the lodge a nice vibe.

The floor was a little dirty when we arrived, but didn't really have the chance to peak with front desk about it since we left before anyone was there. There was still dirty water in the coffee pot when we arrived, so we ended up not using it. Would have been nice to see more pictures of the place on expedia before booking a stay here. Room was cozy and good for what we needed it for. I'm not sure if it was because the couch was in front of the air unit, but it didn't get very cold in the room, even with the air unit set to the highest setting possible for cold temperature. Overall, I would recommend staying here. Small and cozy place and has what you need, especially if you're not going to be there for more than only showering and sleeping.

Old Motel in Lyons
This is a facility that has seen better days. It was clean and was convenient for us. The room was in need of an update. The carpet was worn and torn for example.

The positive: The property was conveniently located to the event we attended. We stayed 5 nights. Check in: On check in we did not receive any information about the room/property. We were given an envelope and keys and told where to park. No information about the pool or the property. The person checking us in acted like we were a bother. The room: On first look, the room appeared to have been renovated recently . Entering the bathroom we found the shower to be dripping a lot with a washcloth on the floor of the shower to help with the noise of the dripping water. The shower curtain was wet along with the floor. I reported it to the front office and was told the plumber had been called a few days before and they did not know when they would show up. The a/c unit was not flush to the wall hanging off about 3 inches. The place was full of flies and gnats. Not to mention the 2 large spiders I had to get rid of. We checked in on a Wednesday and went without housekeeping until Saturday! I had to leave a message late Friday night when we got back to the room and found it still not cleaned! I informed them about the fact we had 1 towel and 1 washcloth each and we were apparently where to use it for 6 days! Come on! The trash was overflowing. The shower dripping worse and it was so loud it was keeping us awake. The housekeepers came in on Saturday and did a nice job. We saved the towels as we knew we would probably not see them again. The web-sight states daily housekeeping!!

Highly disappointed with the bad service.
I actually was not able to stay because no one was there to provide me with the key to enter my room. They left a note saying I should call them to get a code to obtain the key from the lock box. But when I called that number several times no one answered. Accordingly I gave up and did not stay there.
