"Absolutely fine, was welcomed by a thoroughly nice chap who checked us in etc. Room was up in the rafters but was nice, comfortable bed and a magnificent bathtub. Spent an hour in the bar and enjoyed that, drinks were reasonable price and it seemed to be quite full. Had to leave at 06:00 to catch ferry so didn’t eat breakfast. Only negative was the toilet seat was quite loose and I felt a little uneasy sitting on the pan, expecting it to slip off at any second. Absolute not a show-stopper...

"Bed was comfortable, large room and bathroom, very clean throughout the hotel. Breakfast was varied and well cooked. Service was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Gardens extensive. No local amenities that I was aware of. Sort of place ideal if just passing through, having a reception or making use of the bar/restaurant."

"Convenient but road is very noisy for a stay in Southampton for St Marys attendance. Bed was a little uncomfortable for someone who is 6'2" but facilities were clean and safe. Good to have free parking and overall about right value for money."

"Do take it to heart that the owners say there will be bar noise for awhile. We were quite jet-lagged so it didn’t stop the sleep but it was definitely noticeable that people were having a great time! Dinner was fabulous but do make reservations!"

"Reasonably priced and clean room, with plenty of space (room 3). We even had a hint of a sea view. Bath fixtures could use maintenance; an adjustable height shower would be a great improvement. Bed was comfortable. It’s not a modern building so has plenty of charm but expect noise to carry - we could hear the morning deliveries, refuse collection, and the evening music. Catering is OK but nothing special. Located right near the ferry and other pubs in Yarmouth. Overall great value for money."

"Good Convenient Hotel in Ryde, though slightly dated, all the amenities were present. The restaurant was good, we ate there twice. Some minor issues with windows and bed make up, but the staff were helpful in getting it all fixed. Was also given a free breakfast upgrade, which was appreciated. "

"This is a very authentic hotel/pub. A bit dated but we enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly, breakfast was good - full English :-) coffee tasty! And the best if you travel by bus from Ryde the bus stop is direct in front of the pub door! The hotel is as well very close to the Osborne House. "

"Cute and stylish cottage (we were in the Milking Parlour), easy to find and good location. Cosy for a few days for a couple but the outside space a bit disappointing. Inside the cottage is pretty much exactly as per the photos. It's stylish and cleverly designed for multi-functional self-catering. Even has a dishwasher! Some tea, coffee beans, sugar, milk and olive oil kindly provided. The smart home features for air-con, heating, radio etc take getting used to but are effective. Could do with...
