My second stay at this property and also terrific. Friendly and communicative owners, and the location is excellent for seeing a bit of the Michigan outdoors.
It was so nice to come Up North to this little cabin in the woods. It was a very nice place to stay, very quiet and clean. I might do this again next year!
Great basic cabin located in a quiet area. Perfect for getting away from the hustle of everyday life. The wood burning stove keep s it nice and toasty on chilly nights.
I stayed for a few days just to get away for a bit. The cabin was quant and clean. I enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels, having a fire every night, hiking on the nearby trails, and generally just relaxing. Would highly recommend this location. The hosts were wonderful and everything was super easy.
Great property and perfect location. The property manager was super helpful and was available every step of the way. I will be staying here again and i recommend anyone looking for an up north get away to stay here.
Cabin suited our needs beautifully, and was very clean. A lot of great hiking trails in the area and we had a wonderful time. We hope to go back in the winter to snowshoe. Nick was an excellent host. Thank you!!
This property has everything you need. Even though the road was right there it is still secluded feeling. The hosts are incredible, and we can't wait to go back. Definitely what we needed for a re-charge, still wish we were there, it is always so hard going home!
This was our 3rd trip to this beautiful cabin. It’s so peaceful and relaxing up here. We will definitely be back. Maybe this summer. Thank you Nick and Laura for the awesome hospitality.
This is a very nice property and cabin. The owner Nick stopped by after we checked in to see if we needed anything. The place is just like the pictures. Very clean. Great place. We will be back.
Real nice cabin with Mio and Lewiston close by also Ma Deeters in town ! Plenty of stars at night and wildlife to be enjoyed also thanks to Nick for a great time ! my wife and I will be coming back! THANKS AGAIN
Wonderful little place to go to get away. Very clean! Cook wear is provided, just don’t forget your spices and butter. Amish stores are close by along with scenic areas. The wood stove was a plus to our romantic weekend away.
We spent the weekend at this great little cabin. Nick was very welcoming. We loved watching the birds at the feeder. The highlight was the Pileated Woodpecker. The wood burning stove makes the place so cozy and it was only a 7 minute drive to MaDeeters.
The cabin is exactly as described and easily earns a five star rating. This was the first time my wife and I stayed in a place where we brought our own sheets and towels, but we kind of liked it. We also brought our own pillows which made sleeping more like home. The cabin is less than 100 feet from the road but rarely does a vehicle pass by.
From the moment you pull up it’s beautiful then when you enter the cabin it’s hard not to love it! Everything you need to enjoy your stay if for a fun filled or quiet relaxing time. We will be asking to visit again…..and again!! Thank you Nick & Laura
What a gem Nick and Laura have here. Perfectly sized for a couple. So cozy and clean. I would sit at the table and watched the birds all day and have been happy. The wood stove was a welcome warmth after trails and hikes all day. The bed was extremely comfortable. If you are looking for peace and quiet. This is your place. Thank you Nick and Laura for sharing your perfect cabin with us.
Well equipped kitchen. Nice ambiance. Good location --near the Au Sable River region for hikes. Responsive host. The oft-filled bird feeder attracted a fascinating array of birds. The weather was rainy during our stay. But the cozy cabin was perfect for reading and sipping hot chocolate. We enjoyed our stay.
We enjoyed our three night stay at a cozy cabin in Luzerne. Two outdoor fire pits for gathering one was log the other gas.
Great private outdoor area with deck also to enjoy the forest area and bird feeders. The living room couch and chair were futons and allowed extra sleeping areas besides the queen bed. Kitchen had nice gas stove and everything needed to enjoy your stay.
Everything was clean, well kept and well stocked. The house is adorable!! We loved the door wall view of the wild life and the choices of patio's to choose from for our meals and morning coffee/tea. It's secluded and private. Directions were very accurate, we had no problem finding the place. Local attractions are just a few miles away, in either direction of the house. Our hosts, Nick and Laura were very accommodating and have thought of everything. We couldn't have been happier with our stay, we will be recommending it to friends and family. And we will be returning in the future! Nick and Laura, thank you for sharing your home with us, we truly enjoyed ourselves, it was so wonderful and pleasant.
Nick I need you to text me, we have to get your venmo information because we need to reinverse you for the condiments in the refrigerator that my husband took by accident.. lol

Beware of the following
My husband and I were so excited to stay at this cute location. Unfortunately, we got hit with some unexpected information and “additional costs.” Such as having to clean the cabin before we left. And beware, if you use towels and linens you’re going to get charged an extra $50. Which of course we weren’t made aware of this until after the fact. I would recommend just bringing your own towels and linens. Which kind of defeats the point of getting away and enjoying your stay, if you are expected to clean the cabin you’re staying in, and having to bring your own towels and linens. But, that’s just my opinion.
This is an absolutely wonderful place for a single or couple to getaway for the weekend. We would stay again in a heartbeat.
The cabin is incredibly clean, updated and well appointed with furnishings and amenities, including a wood burning stove, a gas flame table and chairs on the deck, a fire pit, a new gas grill, and two outdoor deck areas to eat and sit in the sun. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and cooking utensils. They had everything we needed for cooking two nights of meals (including some utensils you normally don't expect).
The cabin is a short walk from access to Big Creek if you want to fish, and has good wifi and a TV that allows you to sign into your Netflix or Amazon account or hook up other devices you may have by HDMI cable (provided).
One thing to be aware of is to check the "Amenities" and read all the way to the bottom to be aware of bedding/towels and cleaning conditions. They keep the fees low because they ask you to bring your own towels and linens and to do your own cleaning when you leave. We actually saw this as an attractive feature, as the savings on fees was well worth simply having to bring sheets and towels and the small amount of time it took to clean and leave the cabin in the condition we found it.
Again, we couldn't have been more delighted with the cabin and plan to return again. They are wonderful and highly responsive hosts.
