There is a tiny table with two chairs outside the door and a larger space with garden furniture under a canopy further down the garden, although this would be more comfortable if it could be contrived to put it on level ground. "Comme nous l’espérions , cadre idyllique au milieu des étangs, la maison est grande avec 1 très spacieuse pièce de vie . Le gérant est très arrangeant au niveau des horaires d’arrivée et de départ MAIS…… la maison est vétuste, tout ou presque est à refaire , le ménage est plus que moyen. Les extérieurs qui devraient être agréables ne sont pas entretenus, les salons de jardin en plastique blanc à l’origine, sont empilés les uns sur les autres, totalement sales, les terrasses en bord d’étang sont...

"Beautiful authenthic house in Brenne located next du Maison du Parc of the Brenne nature reserve were walks into the reserve start. Lot of lakes were birds and other animals thrive. The house has everything you need and a magnificent garden. Our dogs also liked it. For the kids the area got a bit boring after a couple of days of walking and birding as most lakes were private so we bought stuff were they could play with in the garden. The house was the old donkey house and is nicely restored....

"Very good place to stay in Eguzon. Check in period is longer than what is advertised 6 to 8pm. We arrived earlier and could have checked in until 11pm. It needs to be updated. Excellent coffee and service. "

Best Stay Ever !!

"Wow what can I say - we had a fantastic 2 week holiday at the Chateau and hope to return one day Highlights - the house furnishings and grounds , the equipment and a very special mention to Nicolas , the manager who was so helpful and even took it upon himself to cook us the local delicacy- he is a credit to the place !Montmorillon is a delight Criticisms - not anything I can immediately think of to be honest . The local villages are very quiet in late May/early June and the bars /cafes open periodically. Maybe a schedule of what is open when in Journet and La Trimouille would be helpful but that is nit -picking Thank you Stephen !!! "

Convenient and friendly

"The hotel was in an ideal location for us so very convenient. Its a common place for truckers to stop overnight. If the restaurant is closed there is a supermarket 8 mins drive or a pizza vending machine 3 minutes drive. Friendly staff. No vegetarian options tho and the walls very thin in the cabins (not ideal if youre travelling with a child and theres a couple next door🙈). The shutters are fab, leave the room pitch black at any hour."
