I love the vibe at Mama Shelter. The lobby, elevators and restaurant are unique. The hotel is outside the city center, but public transportation is near, clean, safe… and free. It takes roughly 12-15 minutes to the beautiful city center by tram.

Very helpful and kind receptionists. Also the staff at the restaurant , just had lunch, were nice. Location was great if you want to live outside the city center, Tram just 3 minutes walk from the hotel.

Very nice and stylish hotel with good connection to Tram and the City. The neighbourhood is in a business are, so very safe. Unfortunately the hotel has on weekend a party area, so it was very loud.

Modern and individual style hotel. Great location for tram into centre of town and easy transfer from the airport. The rooms are stylish comfy, modern, clean with great shower! The breakfast in the bright and modern restaurant was great quality and lots of choice. The staff were all welcoming and accommodating. Highly recomment

Better than expected and super relaxed and friendly staff! Perfect for weekend in Luxembourg and great rate. Toothpaste was a jaw dropping 8 euros though. Don't forget!

Clean, easy connection to free public transport. Disappointed roof bar not open. Nothing on hotel website when booking to say bar is seasonal. Even In pre- arrival email it gave bar opening times as if roof bar would be open during stay. No space in ground floor bar for relaxing seat with drink, only at a food table or bar stool. During stay left for neighbouring hotel for evening drinks. Mini bar snacks sign says to go to floor 1 vending machine s, they were not operating. Informed to go to neighbouring hotel. Communication on website, pre arrival emails and signage needs to improve.

Ridiculous stay!

Went to Luxembourg to stay away from the craziness of the New Year’s Eve – hence I wanted to have a quiet moment to end the year. Guess what -- it was not sadly. There was a night club-like loud event on the roof top with loud heavy metal music until 3am because it was a New Year’s Eve. This was clearly audible from my room. The fact that it had a nice room design and comfortable bedding, it had a very poor sound proof. The reception area is very small despite the fact the hotel has huge space for a restaurant and a roof top terrace (where there was a loud event!). The reception area only had one huge table and a small table with lots of chairs. The reception area can be packed like crazy if its busy. Worst sleep and I would not come back to this place again. Not recommended for everyone. Avoid at any cost.

Fancy, but maybe too fancy…

The hotel tries to look really smart and fancy, but it is lacking some basic features… The is no possibility to iron your clothes anywhere in the hotel. There is no mini bar, on the refrigerator in the room, a sticker guide you to a vending machine, but the machine is empty and not even plugged in… When you ask in the reception for some drinks and snack to take to the room, the only option is to go to the vending machine in another hotel…. You pay too much for the fancy look…

Pretty good

A pleasant stay. It’s in the modern part of the city and an easy tram ride to the old town. Rooms and style are what you would expect if you have stayed at a Mama Shelter before. Fun, stylish, playful. I did find having the same soap to wash your hair and body a little disconcerting and at first thought they forgot to place the shampoo and conditioner in the room. It worked though. The bed was very comfortable and it was in a very quiet location so perfect for light sleepers. Breakfast was very good. With even fresh fruit and vegetables to make your own juice Sadly, dinner was a disappointment. Grilled squid was like old shoe leather which you couldn’t even cut with a knife. It was an extremely busy night so service was hit and miss too so maybe the kitchen just couldn’t cope. A very generous garlic bread so that hit the spot. Overall, it was good and worth checking out.
