Absolutely blown away by how gorgeous and luxurious this hotel is!! After being crammed into typical tiny hotel rooms around Europe for the week prior, we were pinching ourselves when we entered our room. It was so spacious, so comfy. We didn't want to leave, and agreed we would come back to spend a week. The town was refreshingly free of tourists, so we got to enjoy a real breather, living like a local for the day. The hotel would suit couples without children under 10. It is well situated for walking and being quiet by the river. The local countryside is beautiful and is worth seeing by car.

The hotel is stylish. Breakfast buffet is good with plenty of space in the dining area. Our room was large but if you open the windows for fresh air the traffic noise is very loud. There is no other ventilation for your room. Beware that the temperature of the water in the showers can change suddenly from normal to very hot or cold and this could be a problem, particularly for children. A comfortable hotel.

We just loved our overnight stay here. The setting looked great on the hotel's website but the reality was even better! We had a fantastic dinner in an open courtyard by the calming river with the classic Bourscheid Castle perched high above as a backdrop. What more could you ask for after a long day's drive. The hotel was quiet despite the number of guests and the breakfast was a delight. We will definitely go back on our next European trip.
