"We were greeted warmly by the lady at the front desk and given treats for our dogs. The property is very clean with a spacious yard for us to walk our furry guys. We really appreciated the recycling stations as well. Great job."

"This is a great place. It was very easy to find with the directions given and in a fantastic location. There's a lot of hiking within a 10 minute drive, and Grand Marais is only 20 minutes away. The cabin itself is very cozy and a great place to relax with an amazing view of the forest and lake. We'll definitely be staying here the next time we are in the area."

"Solbakken Resort was a comfortable stay with a great view of Lake Superior. It's close to Grand Marais and a lot of restaurant and activity options. We only stayed for the night but I would love to come back and spend more time here. We happened to be there when there was quite the weather storm coming through. Since we aren't from this part of the U.S. the flash flood warnings had us concerned. But the Solbakken sits in a safe area and there was no impact by the rains. Other stretches along highway 61 weren't so lucky. We spent the evening in the main lodge playing pool and enjoying the hot cocoa. The rooms have a kitchenette and there's access to fire pits, grills, and relaxing private patios. Like I said, I would love to comeback and spend more days here!"
