Roaches and no refund
I arrive at about 9pm. The night ckerk told me i was the last check-in. When i got to my room, i immediatly saw roaches in the table tops. I seached around and found more. I went down and told the clerk. He told me they had a concelation and offered another room. I went to look and immediatly found more bugs in the new room. The clerk told me he couldnt give me a refund because i booked through hotels.com. I contacted hotels.com and was told they would work on my behalf to get a refund. With no other vacanciees in the area, I drove home. Two days later, hotels.com told me that Quality Inns refused to give me a refund

Book next door instead!
I should have known by the outside of the hotel that the room was going to be discussing. The outside looks like it’s been neglected for years and it’s dirty with trash everywhere. We got into our room and left within 10 minutes. The room smelt of mold, there were bugs fraying around, and a brown hand print smeared on the bathroom door. We did not feel safe staying. We asked for a refund to another quality inn and was denied. The people running this hotel are awful. Do yourself a favor and book the hotel across the street. It’s the one on the big hill and it’s great. We left this dumb and went across the street. NEVER book this hotel. It’s not worth it.

Traveling With our three grandkids. Got connecting rooms which were comfortable and quiet. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. There were some minor upkeeps needed in the closet area but all in all a good value for the price. We would stay there again.

I rented two rooms. I should have rented none. One of the rooms had what looked like blood stains on the walls of the bathroom. Like someone helicoptered a tampon. I didn’t stay inside for more then 15 minutes. I walked out and booked another hotel down the street

late arrival no problem
Our GPS tried to direct us to a non-existent exit from Shenandoah Skyline Drive Park -- so we didn't get to the hotel until 9pm. Our host greeted us warmly. There was no way on the website to book a 1st-floor room (we have issues with stairs), and we had room #208. Our host helped us carry luggage up the staircase -- we much appreciated that! In the morning, he asked how we slept. This was also appreciated. However, the plastic egg substances at breakfast were below par; kids at the next table enjoyed the waffles. Overall, a decent place for a single overnight stay.

It is clean, affordable, conveniently situated in the heart of Luray. Dining options within walking distance. 2nd floor balcony offers a nice view of the town and surrounding hills. We stayed the night of July 4th and watched a great fireworks show from the balcony. It's a 5 minute or less drive over to Luray Caverns.

Only one problem
We were initially concerned by the somewhat dated, however, the rooms have obviously been recently updated and we found them delightful! They aren't luxury rooms, but we didn't expect that. They are, however, updated, clean and comfortable. We were delighted to find nice showers not outdated, stained tubs. We only experienced 2 problems. There really isn't adequate parking, which, I understand is difficult to remedy. Our biggest complaint, was that we had a faulty smoke detector that began going off sporadically at 2:30 in the morning. Unfortunately, we were unable to reach anyone at the front desk. By 6:00 a.m., having had very little sleep, I finally went to the front desk. There was no attendant available. A note was left and we did not receive maintenance help until after 9:00. We weren't happy to have lost the night's sleep because there was nobody at the desk to assist.

Comfortable and good value
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Service was okay. Front desk staff could have been more attentive. Attached restaurant was okay for breakfast.

The facility is older but well maintained. The bed was very comfortable. The attached restaurant offered a good breakfast. Staff is friendly..

It was close to the amenities. The downside was that the ac was noisy and would reset the temperature by itself, making the room very cold
