A tastefully furnished one-room holiday apartment designed for comfort, featuring a kitchenette and dining area on the 1st floor with a balcony. It is located in a very quiet area of Schöntal, right next to the forest and 150 metres from the Schöntal swimming pond. Schöntal has no through traffic; the speed limit is generally 30 km/h.

An ideal starting point for extended hiking and trekking tours through the unspoiled German-French Pfälzerwald/Northern Vosges Biosphere Reserve or excursions to the countless castle ruins and bizarre rock formations in the immediate vicinity, relax at one of Ludwigswinkel’s many swimming ponds, enjoy great mountain bike tours (direct access to signposted trails right from the house), or take a leisurely road bike ride without significant inclines through the Sauerbach Valley all the way to Wissembourg – Alsace,

We provide our guests with one women’s and one men’s touring bike free of charge (bike caravans for dogs are also available free of charge), help and advise you on planning tours, and also offer guided (for a fee) hiking, trekking, cycling, and mountain biking tours tailored specifically to your needs. (24-inch e-mountain bike available; 27.5-inch e-mountain bike available for an additional fee starting at 01.04.2020 —both e-bikes available for a fee)

Supermarket, bakery, butcher shop, general practitioner, dentist, and petrol station in the neighbouring town 3 km away—hair salons and a corner store in Ludwigswinkel. A wide variety of high-quality dining options in Ludwigswinkel and the nearby surrounding communities.

Dogs are allowed.... Only small dogs up to 40 cm / 25 kg—additional charge of EUR 3.50 per day.
