"This was ideal for me. I loved it here. It was really peaceful. I couldn't hear a thing apart from the birds and the occasional sheep. I stayed for 4 days and I wished it could have been longer. There is no TV in the hut which also suits me to the ground. The wi-fi is excellent so if you do want to watch something on an I pad or tablet you will have no problem with the reception. The cottage was ideal for our particular needs - a rather last minute booking - and very clean and well equipped throughout. It was beautifully warm, and the property is set deep in a very beautiful part of lovely Exmoor. Would highly recommend this cosy cottage for a couple and reasonably priced as well. "

"We had a lovely stay. Cottage was perfect for two. Very cosy with everything we needed and very quiet. Very thoughtful touches left ready for us including a basket of logs for the fire and a hamper of goodies for our dog. Perfect location for exploring the area. We walked miles! Recommend a visit to Tar steps, Valley of the rocks and Baggy point. Also stunning beaches at Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton. Would recommend this cottage to everyone."

"A friend and I stayed here for one night as part of a tour of the south west, and really enjoyed it. Our room had a beach view with a large bay window, and the room itself was comfortable. We experienced a warm welcome from the moment we entered the building, with the attendant on reception going out of his way to check if our room was ready, to allow us to check in early. We were asked what we would like for breakfast the previous evening, to make it easier for the apprentices working in the kitchen and we opted for the full English - this was great. Minor points, but there appears to be no dinner service (there are plenty of options nearby however) and the WiFi didn’t extend to our room, but this wasn’t a huge deal. We would stay again."

"We stopped at The Mole Meadow lodges while attending a wedding close by. It met and exceeded our expectations. Would certainly go back. We had a meal in The Cellar for approximately 27 people, was a little disorganised, would have been better if we would have been allowed to pre order food in advance. I would say that was the only thing I can criticise, but this may have been hampered as there seemed to be a good percentage of new staff. This did not spoil our stay. As I said earlier we would definitely go back."

"Staff were amazing, we stayed during a heatwave and they were helpful with ice from the bar. Other instances such as needing forks, hangers in our room and new towels were treated with the same professionalism ! The rooms do need a bit of updating but for what it was the price is exstremely reasonable. The room was very clean when we arrived. We didn’t have any housekeeping during our stay, but that is our preference so this did not affect us. Ideal stay as a couple visiting Cardiff or the surrounding areas."
