The best time to visit Lower Tully is during the dry season, which runs from May to October.

During these months, you'll experience consistently sunny days and lower humidity, making it ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the region. The temperatures are pleasantly warm, typically ranging from 20 to 28 degrees Celsius, which is superb for outdoor activities like white-water rafting on the Tully River or hiking in the nearby national parks.

This period is particularly good for families looking for an active holiday. The dry weather means less chance of rain interrupting plans, and conditions are superb for visiting attractions such as the Golden Gumboot or enjoying a picnic by the river. It's also prime time for wildlife spotting, with many native animals more active and visible.

Couples seeking a relaxing escape will also appreciate the dry season. The clear skies and comfortable evenings are superb for enjoying quiet dinners outdoors or simply unwinding by the pool at your accommodation.
