"Hmm. This is a very good property and would be excellent anywhere else in the world but standards in Greece/Crete are very high. It's a little gloomier inside photos suggest with only limited natural light. There is construction work going on literally adjacent to the property currently so expect some noise and essentially the outdoor balcony space is off-limits during the daytime. Some minor maintenance niggles. Seems a bit mean providing a coffee machine but no capsules but hey ho. This is a...

"the room was smallish but spotless, AC Wifi shower pressure were fantastic; balcony very useful! Everything was well thought out; the shower had water backup (needs a lip) but the broom was right there. The hosts were fabulous, their recommendations great! Walking to beach a few meters away. Great place, we wish them well for the new complex they are building next to the property."

"I absolutely loved my stay here. The location is beautiful, nestled into the mountains and a short drive to Samaria Gorge and the White Mountains. There is an incredibly sweet local/rural vibe that feels very safe to walk around and see the local goats and sheep. The breakfast and meals here are incredible, some of the best meals I had in Crete. The rooms are basic but very clean."

"This was by far the most unique, amazing hotel we stayed at on the island of Crete. Upon arrival we were given fresh-squeezed lemonade made from their own lemon trees. The staff was so friendly! The building is over 500 years old, and nothing like I've ever seen before. The suite we got was huge, (living room, full kitchen, dining room, and bathroom downstairs and 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs).
