Without hesitation, we would recommend this villa for a family holiday. It did what it said on the tin!! A first-rate villa, highly recommend.
Bags of space indoor and outside with ample parking space. The gardens are extensive and well-maintained, lush with trees and shrubs, the lawns are watered by night sprinklers. Ample room for children to play safely. The swimming pool is full sized, more than adequate for even the most capable swimmers. Lit at night for late swimming. Steps at one end lead directly to waste-high depth and the deep end allows under-water swimming. Extensive tiled areas outside and tiled flooring inside.
A broad spiral staircase led to the second floor. 3 of the bedrooms had large ensuites, comfortable beds and ample storage.
The lounging area was large enough for multi activities as might be necessary for large families. Variety of television channels is limited though we didn't want to watch much anyway. There were various games in a cupboard, essential for wet days. There was a very efficient hot-air blower in the lounge.
The dining room was delightful, with entrance onto the patio-dining area of the garden. Adjoining it, but separate was a large, functional kitchen with 3 fridge-freezers, and large work-surface. Ample modern appliances.
Customer service was excellent. On our first night there was someone to run us to the supermarket for our initial provisions. Also, my son had an ear -infection and without hesitation, he was taken to the nearest pharmacy, and next morning, was offered to be taken to the hospital. We only had to ask. There were ample towels, drying towels and the sheets were renewed regularly. Anything we needed for the baby or toddler was provided.
Location is in a very quiet area, about 20 minutes from the marina. Ask for the short-cut. A car would be useful though we chose to walk despite having a baby and two children under 6. There are many super restaurants and coffee-houses at the marina. the English breakfast on offer in many establishments for 5 euros are excellent. The Roman ruins at the far end of the marina are worth visiting.
