friendly rooms with direct access to outdoor space. Reception exceptionally friendly. Good tea / coffee making facilities in room & a fridge. Location is superb with nice pubs & restaurants nearby . The bar doesn't sell alcohol but if you bring you own they will provide glasses. We were very pleasantly surprised by how good this hotel is & how nice the town of Lostwithiel is. "

"Fantastic location with endless opportunities to explore Cornwall and the coast within a short drive. Accommodation was comfortable in impressive grounds. Children enjoyed helping with the lamas, burning off the last of their energy in the pool, and playing with the

"This property is a really comfortable conversion of part of an old chapel on a very attractive site (there are three similar units in the rest of the chapel). The pictures give a very good representation, if anything underselling the amount of comfort in the mezzanine bedroom. The views are lovely and the accessibility to the town (an easy walk down and a little more demanding to come back up the hill) is excellent. "All these properties are amazing period cottages, with modern comforts. I felt as if I was staying in an earlier era, even more so when the autumnal mists wrapped the cottage overnight. Also Lostwithiel is a great location for exploring the South Coast from Falmouth to Plymouth, and also upto Bodmin Moor. "

"We loved the atmosphere of the Alverton and its grounds. There was plenty of space for parking and the reception was only a short walk. The rooms we had were very well presented and very clean. I have marked down on the eco credentials as all the lights and television were on when we arrived which wasn't necessary. The terrace was a great place to sit in the late afternoon for a pre-dinner drink. At times the bar staff were talking to each other rather than looking after customers needs but they were always polite. We ate dinner the first night of our stay which was delicious and at a reasonable price. Breakfast was very good too. I would recommend this hotel to my friends."
