"We really enjoyed our stay at La Capitanna. The view is amazing and so was the food. We had their pizza and the breakfast was great (specifically the bread). Can't say enough good things about the hospitality as well everyone was so nice and we really loved the dogs. They went on a walk with us both days to keep us company. "

"Hotel has 12 cats. Also 3 dogs, but more importantly 12 cats :)
Quiet oasis short walk away from noisy Mancora centre. Huge terrace to have breakfast, which was simple but filling.
Rooms are spacious and air-conditioned, with comfortable bedding. Big shower cubicle.
Staff is very responsive, my Spanish is not the greatest, so sometimes things got lost in translation, but we managed.
Oh, did I mention that the hotel has 12 cats?"

"We had a wonderful stay at Soleil Bungalows in Los Órganos, Piura.
The hotel is peaceful and quiet — the perfect place to relax. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. What truly made our stay special was the staff: hardworking, attentive, sincere, and genuinely kind. We felt very comfortable and safe throughout our stay.
We also loved that food is available on-site. Our breakfasts were included and more than sufficient — fresh, tasty, and filling. They also offer a variety of dishes such as pizza, ravioli, and shrimp, so you definitely won’t go hungry.
If you’re looking to escape the busy tourist crowds and experience the authentic ocean vibe of a small fishing town, this is the perfect place. It may not have the polished tourist glamour, but it has its own unique charm that makes it truly special.
Highly recommended for a calm and authentic getaway!"
"The rooms are nasty, no towels, no shampoo or soap, no air conditioner, all the pictures they show online are fake. I won't recommend it to anyone. Please stay away from this place. "
"We stayed for 5 nights while we visited our son. We had a lovely suite with an open air kitchen and seating area and unheated plunge pool that faced directly towards the ocean. The open air seating area was a wonderful place to relax. The vibe is truly Peruvian beach vibes. The bedroom is enclosed but has its own balcony for relaxing. The shower water pressure was amazing.
The restaurant was incredible Peruvian food. The breakfast was also delicious! The front desk staff and restaurant staff were incredibly kind and helpful. There are many people that work there that understand English a little bit.
As is customary, none of the pools are heated. Be aware of that. The beach access in high season was easy and not crowded. The hotel is a smaller boutique hotel and that is a major plus because it never felt crowded. I highly recommend this hotel. "
"The house was like a dream. It was something out of a magazine. The people responsible for helping take care of it were responsive to our needs, & very friendly. It was more spacious than we needed, but it was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. After asking them to heat up the Jacuzzi, it was a great temperature, probably about 103F. The beds were comfortable, I loved the large windows everywhere and the breeze coming through the house, the steam room worked great. The movie theater and Nintendo switch were fun, & the lady helped us find a good massage therapist, and the waves were great. Unfortunately, due to recent construction there were some rebar on the beach and although I cleaned up a lot of it, I could not remove other parts of it connected to broken concrete slabs so we had to avoid swimming in that location. I imagine it's a temporary issue that hopefully will be gone soon. It was a fairly good beach although there were some rocks and pebbles in certain locations while swimming so it's not 100% sand. If you hike about 2 miles south there is a pier and some local beach restaurants and on the pier you can swim with wild large sea turtles and they provide Life Vests there & help you. Although there's another location in Los Organos also that was probably nicer that the House representative helped us find. The chef cooked amazing and made it truly restful. She was very friendly also.
The main negative was their solar water heater that heat up water for the showers and the tubs did not provide hot water, it was just barely warm so we could not enjoy a hot tub bath although they did try to fix it so we appreciate their intent The solar panels were covered with a thick layer of dust, and I believe that limited their ability to heat up the water.
The gym in the garage was simple but it was nice they had a mat.
All in all, we would definitely stay there again. It looks like others are trying to build beach places there. The area is not fully developed, but if you're looking for a restful place away from the crowds at Moncora, this is a good spot. Ideally you'd have a car rental as you can't just walk out and get a taxi, but the house rep connected us to taxis that brought us to swim with the turtles. Thanks for the great stay!"
