"Barlovento is a gem near Tayrona. One almost doesn’t need to leave the property to get the real jungle beach experience. However, it is a perfect home base for your adventure. The accommodations are very comfortable and quiet. Just watch out for the “no see ums” insects that get through the mosquito nets in the cabana, but this is true everywhere. Also the ocean is very loud at the cabana but earplugs make it more of a soothing background noise. Overall one of my favorite places to visit and...

"We had a great time. Highly suggested to stay in the park for a night at least. This is the best place where to do it if you are not the camping type. Comfort while in the middle of Tyrona. We also got a massage at the spa which was just incredible (way above our expectations).
I would go back in a heart bit. The one tiny thing to notice is that the food is not so great. Ok for a couple of meals but I wish there were other options for that. Otherwise, perfect !! "

"We have stayed here as a family (2 adults, 2 children under 8) and as a couple, and it was perfection both times. The staff are incredibly friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The food is amazing, the pool is stunning, and waking up to nothing but the sound of the river and birds was complete bliss. It’s extremely close to the entrance of Parque Tayrona, and a short drive to waterfalls. I have recommended this hotel to anyone who will listen. It is by far my favourite hotel in Colombia. "
