Lakeside A-Frame w/Deck for Fishing-Short Drive to South Padre Island, Space X.

This A-frame lakefront home sits on 2 acres and offers a unique opportunity to embrace a tranquil lifestyle while being just a short drive away from the beautiful beaches of South Padre Island and also near to the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge and Space X.

The space:

The home is 1700 square feet. With two bedrooms and a small loft, this cozy retreat is perfect for your stay.

The first bedroom features a small full bathroom, providing convenience and privacy. In the second bedroom, you'll find two comfortable full-size beds.

Upstairs, the loft offers a unique space that overlooks the living area. Please note that while it provides a partially private atmosphere, it does not have dedicated closet space. The loft is furnished with two cozy twin beds (trundle), providing additional sleeping arrangements.

Guest access -Self Check In

Guests have full access to the main house and to the property grounds. Pls note that a female caretaker resides on the property in a separate bldg/room situated on the 2 acre lot away from the main house. Caretaker will not interact w/guests unsolicited so guests can fully relax and enjoy their stay.

While swimming in the lake is not recommended due to the possible presence of wildlife, it provides an excellent opportunity for fishing enthusiasts.

Do not book this property. We had it booked two weeks ahead of time. We drove 9 hours to be there. Host never sent the door code, so we called, texted, and emailed them with no response. At 8pm, 5 hours after check-in time we got an email saying our stay was cancelled. Never a call back or response from the host. Just cancelled. This is close to the Mexican border keep in mind. No good hotels to stay in locally so we had to drive an hour north to find a reputable hotel to stay in. Three weeks later now and still no response or apology from that host. VRBO did find us a new place to stay close so thanks for that but this host should be removed from VRBO. And if they do read this I want you to know you’re trash for doing what you did and leaving us stranded at night this close to the border with no response or reason why. I’d give you zero stars if I could.
