"The Jewelbox location is very convenient - right in the heart of the city and walking distance to the grocery store, liquor store, shops, restaurants and bars. However, there is a night club behind it and you can hear the music until around 2 am so be aware if you are a light sleeper. The pictures of the pool are a bit deceiving. It is only a small square - more like the size of hot tub.You can sit in it, but not swim in it. The house is cute and clean and the appliances are nice. The bedrooms are comfortable and well appointed. Unfortunately, we did not have running water for over half of our stay - a combination of an island water system issue and a house issue. We had to use an adjacent house our group had also rented for all bathroom and water needs for the first 3 days of our stay (that house had its own water storage so it was never out of water). Apparently water and power outages occur frequently on the island so make sure you understand if the home you are renting has contingency plans for either. If the water is running, the house would be fine. We just had a really tough experience and frustrations were high by the end of our trip. "

"The pool furniture was in disrepair and everything at the resort looked like it was very old/falling apart. The upstairs bedroom was carpeted and the carpet is very old and smelly and musty. The bedding was very old and the furniture was also very worn/old. The supplies in the kitchen looked like they were found at a garage sale. For the very high price tag I would not stay there again unless the whole place got a refresh. "

"We arrived at the property and at first everything seemed fine. Unfortunately, we quickly noticed several important issues.First, the cleanliness was not acceptable. There were insects in the drawers when we opened them and also insects in the sink. The drawers were completely messy and disorganized. The oven was extremely dirty, with fries and leftover food from previous guests still inside. The refrigerator was also dirty.There was also rust on the shower poles. We have stayed in many rent villa over the years, but this was by far the dirtiest and most disorganized one we have experienced.In addition, when we arrived the water was barely working. I asked the person in charge about it and was told that it was normal. About 15 minutes later, there was no water at all. This situation lasted for more than 24 hours.We had no access to water for the toilets, showers, or even to wash our hands. Under these conditions it was impossible for us to stay, and we had to move out."
