The first time I stayed I payed for a room with its own bathroom and amenities but was given a room with a shared bathroom. No apology or refund.

Very nice hotel, I had to change hotel due to a bad previous one and Oh my surprise... The room are not expensive for the area, They are really nice, it's really clean, they are polite... Thanks Beaver Hotel. I will come back for sure Meddhi

The staff was friendly, the location was near the subway and close to many great restaurants. The rooms were small but I knew that going in and I was happy with my room. The breakfast in the morning was very good. (better than some big hotels I have stayed in) The Wifi was unacceptable. I had to go to the lounge to use it and even then it was very very slow. (10 minutes to see email) If they fix that , it would be a top end deal.

good location and compromised on the dated deco
The bathrooms were not cleaned. It is dated which can be compromised on, so cleaning is crucial and do not use tesco's value products for the guests. When the gusts see those products, they don't feel being welcomed. Location is superb. Breakfast is ok (scramble egg was a bit over cooked and dried) but stuff in joggers and hoodie can be changed to a simple black trousers and shirt.

We didn’t even spend the first night of our stay there. There were questionable stains all over the duvet and when we pulled back the sheets we found several bugs on the mattress. By then it was very late and the desk had closed. My boyfriend and I backed our bags and walked around London in the middle of the night to try to find someplace else to sleep. Please do not book here!

Great location as the underground station is just 5 minutes walk. I booked a single room with shared bathroom. The room, bed linen including shared bathroom are very clean. Breakfast is included. Compared to the price, this hotel is value for money.

We stayed for one night in a triple room. The room is basic but for one night that's all you need - the mattresses were firm but not uncomfortable. Bathroom was fine, didn't try the shower but it looked a decent size. Only thing the room was missing really was tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast was good, nice polite waitress. We would happily stay here again.

Staff very helpful and efficient. The shared bathroom on the third floor, where I was, has only a toilet and bathtub. There was a sink in my room for hand washing. This bathroom badly in need of an update. It was probably as clean as you can get old, beat up Lino. Wish there had been cleaning materials for guests to use. I’m not going to get into a tub a stranger has just used. But there is a full, modern shower with sink and toilet on the first floor which I used. My room was small but more than adequate and a very roomy wardrobe with shelves was great for stashing my stuff. My bed linen was clean and fresh. No TV in room but a big lounge on Ground floor has TV, books, tourist leaflets etc. Wifi only in lounge and parts of ground floor. Not a strong connection. Great location. Fair value for the cost.

Do not stay at the Beaver Hotel...
I will never stay at Beaver Hotel again, and would not recommend it to anyone else. Where do I start? Very small room..tiny bed...no air conditioning...no WI-FI...floors were not exactly level....thin walls(could hear everything my neighbors said at night)....extremely small bathroom and tiny shower....water was barely warm...no ice machines or vending... I could go on and on. This is not a hotel. It's more like a musty old house with a ton of small rooms. This place has to be at least a hundred years old. Avoid!!!

I stayed here for 4 nights for works it’s s really good location. Decor is very old fashioned and the room was fairly clean, although the plug sockets, light switches , tv/remote and skirting board were dusty. Room was ok for the price - fine for somewhere to sleep.

Check in was a nightmare. After a long journey from Lincolnshire I was greeted by a sullen, unsmiling girl who didn't look particularly welcoming. She could not find my booking through Expedia and this went on for about 20th minutes. Her records showed I had only booked in for 1 night, not 2. I could not find my confirmation email from Expedia to confirm my booking. She said I must have cancelled the booking? ? After some time she found me and blamed her colleague. Other than that the hotel was fine

Good location for where I needed to be. Otherwise it was probably the grossest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It was straight from the 70’s, and looked and smelled like it still existed in that decade. The bathroom was literally like an airplane bathroom just with a shower. The shower curtain was so stained and mildewed it made the whole bathroom reek. I spent as little time in the bathroom as possible because of the awful smell. The TV worked to distract from the gross bathroom and the weird old carpet and bedding and the lack of air conditioner or WiFi. Housekeeping barged into the room but I can forgive it since we checked in early. Just didn’t hear the knock before they came inside but it was very awkward. Overall a very unpleasant experience but I only needed it for a short night.

Don't bother staying here. It was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I wouldn't even classify it at that. I'm surprised Expedia would include this within their system. The place was outdated and dirty, carpet wasn't clean and the comforter had weird I don't know what sort of stains. On check-in the girl seemed fine. We went to our room and was just amazed at how bad it was. We out to explore the city and when we returned, the second reception person was downright rude. The bed was uncomfortable, and the blanket on the bed was as bad as the comforter. I had booked this hotel for three nights and left after the first one. The hotel would refund us the money and had Expedia call. After 5 long distance calls and the receptionist playing dumb on the phone, I was able to get my last night's refund minus "Fees" and "Taxes", so I didn't even get back the 1/3 of my stay. The last night was a Friday, so that should have been more than 1/3. Talk about making London a bad experience. The only thing this place has going for it, is the location to an underground station. It's worth double the money, not to stay here.

Room was everything required with comfortable bed and good hot shower. No tea and coffee in the room which would have been nice in the morning. Cooked breakfast was very small with the sausage turning out to be a chipolata! Poached eggs were excellent. Tea and coffee plentyful, but no orange juice!

This is the first negative review I've had to write after many years of using Expedia for overseas and UK travel. Disappointed in the overall condition of The Beaver Hotel. Yes a lot of these buildings are old, but there was no hot water for shower in the morning. Paintwork and carpets have seen better days. My bathroom wasn't clean. Reception area is very dingy. I din't bother going for breakfast. I've stayed in cheaper hotels with better results.

Good budget hotel
Good service, fairly comfortable secure room. Walls were thin, so guests talking in next room kept me awake & room was rather warm, even with window open. Breakfast was satisfactory and service friendly and helpful throughout.

Excellent base for 4 day visit to London. We have stayed at the Beaver many times, it never disappoints. For a no frills budget hotel it is always bright, welcoming and with a spotlessly clean room. The room was stocked with extra pillows and blankets and the heating was on so nice and cosy. The staff are lovely!

Staff is very nice and helpful. The hotel has a lot of charm, not your typical cookie cutter hotel. Great location. 5 minute walk to Earls Court station on the London Underground and walking distance of restaurants, banks, shops. Nice basic breakfast included. Downside, the mattress was uncomfortable and small things needed to be updated/replaced but overall clean.

Very hard beds and poor Wi-Fi service. The hotel should invest their monies received from all their hotel guests into buying new, fresh mattresses and providing strong Wi-Fi channels on each floor so guests can access Wi-Fi whenever they need it. There was limitations with only being able to use the Wi-Fi on the ground floor and basement levels and only between certain hours. It was very inconvenient for travelers trying to plan schedules.
